The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the amendment document legalization in the law to make the legalization of documents Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2007, no. 9) following amendment: article 3: Supplement to the second part of the article as follows: "(2) this Act does not apply if the document has been issued to the public in the European Union, European economic area country or the Swiss Confederation. If the authority which receives the following public documents, doubts about its authenticity, authority, in writing, communicate with foreign authorities that public documents are issued or is responsible for the authenticity of public documents, if the Parliament approved international treaties or European Union law is not otherwise specified. ";
