The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the amendments to the law "on enterprise register of the Republic of Latvia" make law "on the enterprise register of the Republic of Latvia (Republic of Latvia Supreme Council and Government Informant, 1990, 1991, 49 No;/28.nr.; 27, 1992, 18./19.nr.; The Saeima of the Republic of Latvia and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1996, nr. 1; 1997, 5, no. 11; in 1998, no 1; 1999, nr. 24; 2001, 5, no. 15; 2002, no. 23; 2003, no. 14; 2004, 4, 8, no. 22; in 2005, No 7; 2006, no. 14; 2007, nr. 24; 2008, no. 8; 2009, 3, 9, 22 No.) the following amendments: 1. Company (company) name must not include State and local government institutions (institutions) names as well as the word "national" or "local". Company (company) name must not include the words "the Republic of Latvia" and their translation into a foreign language.
If the name of the company (the company) contains the administrative territory or locality name, Organization (company) name must not be identical to the corresponding administrative area or locality name, except the name of the farm.
Company (company) name can be used in business (commercial contracts, advertising, etc.) from the moment it is registered in the companies registry log.
Each registration number of the business register in the journal meets the (inventory) with the same number. All documents in the case, on the basis of which the entry in the journal, the business register as well as other statutory documents. The annual report and the documents on file is stored only in electronic form.
Register journal is permanently stored in the document. "
3. Express the ninth article 6 subparagraph by the following: "If the person is a natural person, business registry log records an individual's date of birth, identity document number and date of issue, country, and institution that issued the documents."
4. Add to article 8 of the fifteenth and sixteenth part of the following: "examination of this law, the fifth subparagraph of article 5 conditions specified in the business register of notaries public shall be entitled to take a decision on the record of the suspension if: 1) to the company (company) name is the same with the company registry log and other records of the company registers carried a recorded or written log name (firm);
2) between the company (company) name and the company applied for a registry log and other records of the company registers carried already recorded or written log name (company), the only difference is the spaces and punctuation between names (company) use letters, numbers or uppercase and lowercase letters.
Checking the log name in compliance with article 5 of this law, the provisions of the fifth paragraph, the State notary register of companies valued the company (company) name and other companies register vest register registers a name (company), without reference to its legal form. "
5. in article 14: make a fifth by the following: "checking the commercial article 28 conditions set out in the companies register of notaries public shall be entitled to take a decision on the suspension of entry if: 1) the merchant firm applied to coincide with the commercial register and the register of companies kept other registers record or log on to record name (firm);

Supplement to the eighth article as follows: "checking the company's compliance with the fifth part of this article, the provisions of the register of notaries public to rate the merchant company and other companies of the entities registered in the registers kept names without reference to its legal form."

";
Supplement to the eighth article as follows: "checking the log name with this article the fifth subparagraph, register of companies, the National Notary Association and Foundation is valued and other companies register vest register registers a name (company), without reference to its legal form."
7. in article 18.6: Express 2 and 3 by the following: 2) political parties or political associations proposed name clearly and definitely no different from political parties entered in the register or applied for or the name of the recording matches the other register of companies kept registers record or log on to record name (firm);

to supplement the article with the second part as follows: "log on name checking compliance with the provisions of the first paragraph, State notary register of companies valued by the political parties or political associations and other business name registry vest register registers a name (company), without reference to its legal form."
8.18.14 article: replace the introductory phrase of the second paragraph, the words "shall adopt" with the words "adopt, if";
make the second paragraph (4) and (5) as follows: "4) religious organizations or the log name includes misleading information about religious organizations or the legal form, purpose and way of operation;
5) religious organisations or institutions proposed name clearly and definitely no different from religious organizations and the institutions entered in the register or log on to record names or other company matches vest register registers record or log on to record name (company), "adding to the second part of paragraph 6 by the following:" 6) between the religious organization or the authorities applied the name and religious organizations and institutions registered in the enterprise register and other registers already carried a recorded or written log name (company), the only difference is the space and punctuation between names (company) use letters, numbers or uppercase and lowercase letters. The competence of the business register does not include religious organizations or the actual conditions of adoption of the decision. "
9. transitional provisions be supplemented by 14 and 15 points by the following: "14. This law, rules governing the name (company), and determined that the name applied for (business) may not be the same as the business registers registers recording carried applied for or registered name (company) (article 4, augmented by 5.3 points, the new version of article 5, article 8, augmented by the fifteenth and sixteenth, the fifth subparagraph of article 14 of the new expression and augmented by article eighth the fifth subparagraph of article 18.1, the expression new and augmented by article eighth, 2 and 3 of article 18.6. the new version of the paragraph and article additions by the second part of the second paragraph of article 18.14 (4) and (5) of the new version and the addition of part of paragraph 6, and article additions from the seventh and eighth), 2010 comes into force on 1 December.
15. Amendments to this law, 5., 8., 14., 18.1 and 18.6 article about 18.14, name (brand) atšķiramīb from the register of companies kept registers record or log on to record names (companies) without prejudice to the rights of the holder of the right to a name (business name), recorded or logged in to record the relevant register until 30 November 2010. "
