The Saeima has adopted and the President issued the following law: amendments to the law "on pollution" make law "on pollution" (Latvian Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2001, no. 9; 2002, 16; 2004, nr. 2. No; 2005; 2006, nr. 5, 9. No; 2007, 21, no no, 12, 2009; Latvian journal, 2009, no. 205; 2010, 104 no). the following amendments: 1. Replace the words "throughout the Act the Ministry of the environment" (fold) with the words "the protection of the environment and regional development Ministry" (fold).
2. Replace article 18, in the fourth paragraph, the words "Minister of environment" with the words "the protection of the environment and Minister for regional development".
3. Supplement article 20 the fifth paragraph 7 with the following sentence: "in the period of adoption of the decision excludes days, relating to a request for information."
4. Supplement article 22 2.1 part with the following sentence: "in the period of adoption of the decision excludes days, relating to a request for information."
5. Add to article 28 of the seventh subparagraph with the sentence by the following: "regional environmental administration is entitled to cancel the licences issued and suspend its operation if the operator does not provide regional environmental governance requested information necessary for the decision on polluting activities permit, launching a new category (A) or (B) discharges of polluting activities, making significant changes to the existing category (A) or (B) in a transaction, as well as pollutant polluting activities to review the conditions of authorisation and renewal."
6. To supplement the law with article 28.2 of the following: ' article 28.2. 7. transitional provisions be supplemented with 28 and 29 the following: "this law article 28 28.2 shall enter into force on March 1, 2011.

Add to the informative reference to 14 by the following: "14) of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 April 2009. directive 2009/31/EC on the geological storage of carbon dioxide and amending Council Directive 85/337/EEC, European Parliament and Council Directive 2000/60/EC, 2001/80/EC, 2004/35/EC, 2006/12/EC, 2008/1/EC and Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 (text with EEA relevance.)
9. Supplement to annex 1 of the sixth paragraph 9 with the following: "9) carbon dioxide (CO2) flow detection of activity (installations), as listed in the annex in relation to the geological storage of carbon dioxide, as defined by the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 April 2009. directive 2009/31/EC on the geological storage of carbon dioxide and amending Council Directive 85/337/EEC, European Parliament and Council Directive 2000/60/EC 2001/80/EC, 2004/35/EC, 2006/12/EC, 2008/1/EC and Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 (text with EEA relevance.)
The law shall enter into force on January 1, 2011.
The law adopted by the Parliament in December 16, 2010.
