The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law on the amendments to the Railway Act to make Railway (the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 1998, no. 9; 1999, no. 5, 23; 2001, nr. 1; 2003, 6, 10, 23; 2004, nr. 8. No; 2005; 2006 21 no, no. 1; 2007, nr. 13, 15; 2008, nr. 15, 16; 2009, 12, no. 20; Latvian journal, 2009, 193. no; 2010, 86, 106, 162, 205. No.) the following amendments: 1. Turn off the article 11, third subparagraph, second sentence.
2. To supplement the law with article 13.2 as follows: "article 13.2. Public use of the rail infrastructure operator of the essential function of the right to request information (1) the public use of the rail infrastructure operator for the essential function of the performance of the functions set out in the law, is entitled to request and receive from the public use of the rail infrastructure, which does not perform the essential functions of managers and operators to carry out their functions, the necessary information, regardless of the availability of this information.
(2) Public-use railway infrastructure operator for the essential functions of the officers and employees, as well as the public railway infrastructure manager for the essential functions in action outside parties is prohibited or otherwise publicly disclose news or any other of its functions relating to the implementation of restricted access information, to them their duties or otherwise, become known for public-use railway infrastructure manager, which does not perform the essential functions of managers , or carriers, including commercial activities, except for certain special laws. "
3. Add to the informative reference to directives of the European Union with the following paragraph 16: "16) of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 2008, Directive 2008/110/EC amending Directive 2004/49/EC on safety on the community's railways (railway safety directive). '
The law shall enter into force on 1 June 2011.
The Parliament adopted the law in 2011 on April 14.
