The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: law on the support of the unemployed and jobs seekers to make the unemployed and job seekers support Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2002, nr. 12; 2004, nr. 11, 8. No; 2005; 2006; 2007, no. 13, no. 15; 2009, 6., no. 15; Latvian journal, 2010, 51 no) the following amendments: 1. in article 2: Add to the second part of paragraph 9 by the following: "9) who is a European Union blue card holder, the card expiration date time staying in Latvia (hereinafter referred to as the person who is the holder of the EU blue card).";
to supplement the article with the third part as follows: "(3) This statutory support for the unemployed and job-seekers, including involvement in active employment and unemployment reduction in preventive measures, the person who is the holder of the EU blue card shall be entitled to receive if the measure duration does not exceed the scheduled registration periods of unemployment."
2. Turn off the second part of article 6, paragraph 12.
3. Supplement article 12 with 1.1 part as follows: "(11) a Person who is the holder of the EU blue card, the status of the unemployed lose if: 1) three continuous months since it lost the status of workers;
2) status of workers it loses more than once. "
4. Supplement article 15 with the 3.1 part as follows: "(31) a Person who is the holder of the EU blue card, job seeker loses status if: 1) three continuous months since it lost the status of workers;
2) status of workers it loses more than once. "
5. Add to the informative reference to European Union directive with the following version of paragraph 9: "9) Council on 25 May 2009. the directive 2009/50/EC on the conditions of entry and residence of third-country nationals for the purposes of highly qualified employment."
The Saeima adopted the law on 9 June 2011.
