The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: amended the weapons and special means of law to make Weapons and special means of circulation of the Act (the Latvian journal nr. 183, 2010) the following amendments: 1. Replace the transitional provisions in paragraphs 2 and 3 the words and figures "up to July 31, 2011" with the words and figures "until 31 December 2011."
2. Add to the transitional provisions in paragraph 3 of point 5 and 6 by the following: "5) September 2, 2003, the provisions of no. 488" rules on stamp duty on all kinds of weapons, ammunition, special features, explosives, blasting guards and permission of pyrotechnic articles and special permission (license), as well as the extension of their period of validity;
6) 23 September 2003 rules no 538 "weapons, ammunition, special features, explosives, bomb components and commercial movement of pyrotechnic articles, pyrotechnic articles of classification and terms of use."
The law shall enter into force on the day following its promulgation.
The Parliament adopted the law of July 8, 2011.
