The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law on the family courts to make family courts Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2006, no. 15, no. 3; 2007; 2009, 2, 13, 14 no; Latvian journal, 2009, 193, 205. No.) the following amendments: 1. Supplement article 17 paragraph 9 with the following: "9) inform the parent, guardian, foster family or room on the risks to the child and the person's criminal facts of this Act in the cases laid down in article 44.1 as well as inform the municipal social services for parents, guardians, or a room where audžuģimen is aware of this law, in accordance with the procedure laid down in article 44.1."
2. Supplement with 44.1 chapter IV article as follows: "article 44.1. Parents, guardians, or audžuģimen host families informed of the potential risks and the personal convictions of the child the fact (1) family courts shall immediately notify the child's parent, guardian, foster family or room on the fact of a conviction, with which it has a single holding, if the person returns from prison authorities after the sentence about the criminal law 159., 160, 161, 162., 162.1, 164.165. Article 166, and the criminal offence referred to in that the victim was a minor.

The law shall enter into force on January 1, 2012.
