The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: Vidzeme, Latgale, Kurzeme and Zemgale crests law article 1. This law aims to establish constitutional Republic of Latvia referred to in article 3 heritage (historical ethnographic) area-Vidzeme, Latgale, Kurzeme and Zemgale-crests (well, coat of arms) as the national symbol of the legal protection and use. 2. article. Vidzeme coat of arms — the red field, a silver Griffin with the same sword in the right paw. Coat of arms picture and kontūrzīmējum is given in annex 1 of this Act. 3. article. Coat of arms of Latgale-blue field opposite turned silver Griffin with the same sword in the right paw. Coat of arms picture and kontūrzīmējum is given in annex 2 of this law. 4. article. Georgia's coat of arms — in contrast to the silver field turned red lion. Coat of arms picture and kontūrzīmējum is given in annex 3 to this law. 5. article. Coat of arms of Latvia — blue in silver moose. Coat of arms picture and kontūrzīmējum is given in annex 4 of this law. 6. article. Coat-of-arms can be created in any visually perceptible form, ensuring its conformity with the coat of arms and the law attached image or kontūrzīmējum. 7. article. Coat of arms used in the Act and the Cabinet in the cases provided for in the rules, as well as its national and local government bodies, of which such rights are determined by the order of the President, issued, taking into account the State heraldic Commission opinion. Individuals have the right to use the coat of arms, ensuring proper respect for it, except when the use of misleading as coat-user's legal status. Transitional provisions national and local government bodies, as well as private individuals provide coat-of-arms use compliance this law, articles 7 and 8 of the requirements within one year from the date of entry into force of the Act or terminating the use of coat-of-arms. The Parliament adopted the law of 22 March of 2012.
