The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law on hunting done hunting Act (Republic of Latvia Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2003, nr. 17; 2007, 3., no. 14; Latvian journal 2010, nr. 205.) the amendments are as follows: 1. Article 1: Add to articles with 6.1 points by the following: ' 61) sustainable management of hunting resources-game populations and urban environment and the associated management of natural resources in such a way as to preserve the hunting resource biodiversity and regeneration ability, providing a hunting resources for future generations, as well as promote the game protection, taking into account the economic, social and environmental interests and compromising nature protection measures for game distribution area of the species; " make the following point 12: ' 12) wild game, wild species, mammals and birds, including migratory, which hunts under the hunting laws and regulations governing, and the species which are kept fenced areas for the wild similar conditions; ". 2. in article 3: turn off the second and third paragraphs; to make the fourth subparagraph by the following: "(4) game species, hunting periods, as well as cases of possible hunting outside the hunting periods, determined by the Cabinet of Ministers. " 5. the transitional provisions supplementing with 8 and 9 point as follows: "8. The Cabinet of Ministers no later than 31 December 2013 article 3 of this law shall be issued in the fourth and fifth paragraphs of these rules. 9. the Cabinet of Ministers regulations effective date, but not more than 31 December 2013, the following Cabinet of Ministers regulations, in so far as they are not inconsistent with this law: 1) the Cabinet of Ministers of 23 December 2003, the Regulation No. 760 "hunting"; 2) the Cabinet of Ministers of 2 March 2004, the Regulation No 109 "provisions on State toll on Hunter's license, the Hunter's seasonal cards and hunting permit, permit for foreign hunters to hunt in the territory of Latvia and authorisation to export hunting trophies from Latvia, as well as the export of hunting trophies order". " 6. Make the informative reference to European Union directives as follows: "Informative reference to European Union directives, the law includes provisions resulting from: 1) of the Council of 21 May 1992 Directive 92/43/EEC on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora; 2) of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 November 2009. the 2009/147/EC the directive on the conservation of wild birds. " The law shall enter into force on the day following its promulgation. The Parliament adopted the law in 2012 on November 15. The President a. Smith in 2012 on November 30.
