The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the amendments to the law "on European Union long-term resident status in the Republic of Latvia" make law "on European Union long-term resident status in the Republic of Latvia (Latvian Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers rapporteur, 2006, no. 15; Latvian journal, 2011, 117 no). the following amendments: 1. 2. This period does not include the continuous residence period where international protection is canceled or terminated. "
3. Replace article 4, paragraph 4, first subparagraph, the words and abbreviations "(closed living space rental agreement URu.tml.) with the words" and the abbreviation "(closed living space rental agreement URu.tml.). 4. Article 7 shall be expressed by the following: ' article 7. 8. To supplement the law with article 17 as follows: "article 17. (1) the Board shall carry out exchanges of information with other Member States of the European Union: 1) informed of the residence permit in the Republic of Latvia or the cancellation of a third-country national for whom another Member State of the European Union has granted the European Union long-term resident status; 2) informed of the status of the third-country national for whom another Member State of the European Union has granted the European Union long-term resident status; 3) consulted on the expulsion of third-country nationals of that other Member State of the European Union the European Union has granted long-term resident status; 4) transmitted to another Member State of the European Union request, which asks to clarify that Member State of the European Union issued a permanent resident permit, including article 7 of this law referred to in the second paragraph of note, if after this Member State to the third-country national of the European Union has granted long-term resident status, the Republic of Latvia assigned international protection. 9. Informative reference to directives of the European Union to replace the words "which is permanent residents" with the words "which are long-term residents" and add informative reference to paragraph 3 by the following: "3) of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 May 2011-2011/51/EU directive, amending Council Directive 2003/109/EC to extend its scope to beneficiaries of international protection (text with EEA relevance)".
