The Saeima has adopted and the President promulgated the following laws: the law of electronic media to make the electronic media Act (Latvian journal 2010, nr. 118, 103, 144; 2011. no; 2012, 166. no; 2013, 40, 46, 61, 87, no. 234; by 2014, 92, no. 225; 2015, 251. nr. 2016, no 2;) the following amendments: 1. Supplement article 35 paragraph 8 of the second paragraph after the word "articles" by the words "electronic cigarettes , filling the vial. 2. Express article 45 in the third subparagraph of paragraph 1 by the following: "1) tobacco products, electronic cigarettes or filling vials, or products of companies whose principal activity is the tobacco, electronic cigarette or filling the vial production or sales;". 3. Add to the informative reference to European Union directive to point 4 as follows: "4) the European Parliament and of the Council on 2014 3 April 2014/40/EU directives on the approximation of laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States with regard to tobacco and related products manufacture, presentation and sale of and repealing Directive 2001/37/EC". The law shall enter into force on the day following its promulgation. The Parliament adopted the law June 2, 2016. The President r. vējonis 2016 in Riga on June 9.
