The DIRECTOR GENERAL of the TREASURY having regard to law No 559 July 13, 1966, establishing a "New sort of Istituto Poligrafico dello Stato"; Having regard to law No 154 April 20, 1978, concerning the establishment of the Brand section within the Istituto Poligrafico dello Stato, Having regard to Council Regulation (EC) on May 3, 1998, n. 974 on the introduction of the euro, published in the official journal of the European Union on May 11, 1998; Having regard to the Ministerial Decree of April 29, 1999, # 506,412, published in the official journal of the Italian Republic on May 20, 1999, # 116, which were established the artistic features of the 2 euro coins; Having regard to the recommendation of the European Commission September 29, 2003, published in the official journal of the European Union on October 15, 2003 on a common practice for changes to the design of the national sides of the euro coins intended for circulation on the obverse; Having regard to the Ministerial Decree of December 10, 2007, n. 121,414, published in the Gazzetta Ufficiale della Repubblica italiana on December 14, 2007, # 290, with whom it was established the new common side of the euro coins of 2 ordinary circulation with effect from 1 January 2008; Having regard to the note June 23, 2009, # 37388, with which the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato S.p.A. has forwarded the letter from the European Commission June 4, 2009, # 1728, which requires the provision of two specimens of each 2 euro commemorative coin issued by Italy; Having regard to the European Parliament and Council Regulation No 651 July 4, 2012, published in the official journal of the European Union on July 27, 2012 concerning the issuance of euro coins laying two commemorative coins that can be issued each year (article 4, paragraph 1); Having regard to Council Regulation (EU) no June 24, 2014. 729, published in the official journal of the European Union on July 2, 2014 on denominations and technical specifications of euro coins intended for circulation (recast); Considering that, on a proposal from the Treasury Department, Mr. Minister approved the theme and its sketches of commemorative coins to be issued in the year 2015; Given that the European Commission announced that the ordinary circulation coin 2 euro commemorative of the 750th anniversary of the birth of Dante Alighieri and complies with the technical specifications referred to in that Regulation (EU) No 729/2014; Having regard to the note March 5, 2015, # 6698, by which the General Secretariat of the Council stated that the European Council approved the design of the coin; Considered an opportunity to commemorate the 750th anniversary of the birth of Dante Alighieri by issuing a ordinary circulation coin 2 euro;
Decrees: Art. 1 artistic characteristics of the national side of euro circulation coins by 2015, 2 ordinary thousandth commemorative "750th anniversary of the birth of Dante Alighieri 1265-2015", uncirculated version, issued under the aforementioned recommendation, are determined as follows:-giving with an open book in his left hand and the mountain of purgatory behind him: detail of the illustrations of the Divine Comedy by Domenico di Michelino (1417-1491) performed in the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore of Florence; at the Center, the monogram of the Italian Republic "RI"; in right field, "R", call the Mint of Rome; at the bottom, "SP", initials of author Silvia Pandita, and dates "1265" and "anniversary year and 2015", respectively; ARC, "DANTE ALIGHIERI"; around, the 12 stars of the European Union.
