The AUTHORITY for the PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA at today's meeting, in the presence of Dr. Antonello Soro, President, dott.ssa Augusta Iannini, dott.ssa Giovanna Bianchi Clerici, the vice President and prof.ssa Licia Califano, components and Dr. Joseph Busia, Secretary General; Having regard to Directive 2002/58/EC of July 12, 2002, the European Parliament and the Council concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector (directive on privacy and electronic communications); Having regard to Directive 2009/136/EC of November 25, 2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Directive 2002/22/EC on universal service and users ' rights relating to electronic communications networks and services, Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector and Regulation (EC) No 2006/2004 on cooperation between national authorities responsible for the enforcement of consumer protection laws; Having regard to the Legislative Decree May 28, 2012, n. 69 «changes to Legislative Decree June 30, 2003, no. 196, containing personal data protection code in 2009/136/EC directives on the processing of personal data and protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector, and 2009/140/EC on electronic communications networks and services and Regulation (EC) no 2006/2004 on cooperation between national authorities responsible for the enforcement of consumer protection laws "(published in the official journal May 31, 2012 # 126); Having regard to the personal data protection code (Legislative Decree No 196, June 30, 2003 "code") and, in particular, article. 122, paragraph 1, under which the guarantor, for the determination of the modalities set out simplified information under art. 13, paragraph 3, "also takes account of the proposals made by the associations most representative at the national level of consumers and the interests involved, in order to ensure the use of methodologies that ensure the effective awareness of the contractor or of the user"; Therefore detected an opportunity to initiate, to this end, a public consultation to allow the guarantor to acquire the proposals that those "most representative national associations of consumers and the interests involved," will want to submit to the authority; Deemed useful also reserve the right to consider any charges that will be received by the authorities from universities and research centres; Having regard to the observations of the Office, made by the Secretary-General in accordance with art. 15 of Regulation No 1/2000; Speaker dr. Resolution: pursuant to art. 122, paragraph 1, of the code, to launch a public consultation aimed at identifying methods out simplified information under art. 13, paragraph 3, of the code and to acquire the relevant proposals of the "most representative national associations of consumers and the interests involved." The Authority reserves also evaluate the contributions received from other qualified individuals, with particular reference to universities and research centres.
