BAB I
provisions of UMUM
Article 1
In Regulation of this Minister referred to:
1. The next Medan State University is called
UNIMED is a public college that
organizes academic education and can
organizes vocational education in various
family sciences and/or technology, and if
is eligible to host an education
profession.
2. The next UNIMED statute called Statuta
is UNIMED's basic regulation of management that
is used as a regulatory framework for regulations and
operational procedures in the UNIMED environment.
3. The Central Government is the President of the Republic of Indonesia
which holds the power of the government of the country
The Republic of Indonesia which is assisted by the Vice President

BAB II
IDENTITY
Article 2
(1) UNIMED is a public college in
the environment of the Ministry of Research, Technology, and
Higher Education, which is based in Deli Regency
Serdang and has a campus in Medan City, Sumatra
North.
(2) UNIMED is set on the Presidential Decree
Republic of Indonesia No. 124 of 1999 on
October 7, 1999 on the Change of IKIP Semarang,
Bandung, and Medan becoming the University.
(3) UNIMED is a change in form of the Institute
Training and Educational Sciences (IKIP) of Medan standing
on March 6, 1965 by Decision
Minister of Higher Education and Science Number
34 Year 1965 and passed by the President based
Decision of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 276
1965 on September 14, 1965 on
The establishment of the Medan IKIP Establishment.
(4) The March 6 is set to be the day of birth (dies
natalis) UNIMED.
Article 3
(1) UNIMED has a five lotus flower-shaped emblem
the petals in it are:
a. green kenanga flower with six
blooming petals;
b. a white pen-eye in the middle of a flower
kenanga;
c. The flower pucures are red with three petals;
d. The sun is yellow with the middle

(1) UNIMED has a 4 (four) square-shaped flag
length with a length size to the width of 3: 2

(1) Faculty and postgraduate at UNIMED have
a 4 (four) square-shaped flag with

Article 7
(1) UNIMED has academic fashion and fashion
almamater.
(2) Academic Busana as referred to in paragraph (1)
consists of a college-led fashion, fashion
professor, Senate dress, and wisudawan fashion.

(3) Academic Busana as referred to in verse (1)
is toga, cap, necklace, and other attributes.
(4) Busana almamater as referred to in verse
(1) is a green-colored jacket. old tosca with code
color RGB 000-114-098 and in the left breast section
there is a UNIMED symbol.
(5) Further provisions on academic fashion and
the almamater fashion as referred to in paragraph (1)
is set up with the Rector Ordinance.
BAB III
STAGING OF THE COLLEGE TRIDHARMA
Part Kesatu
Education
Article 8
(1) UNIMED organizes Academic Education and
may host a Vrelocate Education in
various science and/or
technologies, and if it meets terms can
host the Profes-education.
(2) The Hosting Academic education as
referred to in paragraph (1) includes undergraduate programs,
master programs, and doctoral programs.
(3) Hosting Education as
referred to in paragraph (1) includes a diploma program,
courses of applied scholars, applied master programs, and
applied doctoral programs.
(4) Staging Profession Education as
referred to paragraph (1) is a higher education
after the bachelor program that preparing Students
in a job with special skill requirements.
(5) The education in question
in paragraph (1) may cooperate with other high
schools and/or other institutions.

(6) Further provisions regarding hosting
education as referred to in paragraph (1) is set
with the Rector Ordinance after being considered
the Senate.
Section 9
(1) The education at UNIMED uses
the academic year divided in 2 (two) semesters
that is the semester and even semester.
(2) the academic year as referred to in paragraph (1)
starts in August and ends in the month
July the following year.
(3) Semester gasal as referred to in paragraph (1)
begins in August and ends in the month
January the following year.
(4) even-even Semesters as referred to in paragraph (1)
beginning in February and expires in the month
July.
(5) Each semester consists of at least 16 (six
thirteen) weeks of effective learning activities, including
midterms and semester final exams.
(6) Further provisions of the staging
education as referred to in paragraph (1) to
with paragraph (5) is governed by the Rector Ordinance after

Article 10
(1) The education in UNIMED is implemented

Article 11
(1) Curriculum is a set of plans and
arrangements regarding the study of graduate learning,
the study materials, processes, and assessments used
as the guidelines for the program of study.
(2) Curriculum as referred to in paragraph (1)
compiled and developed in accordance with
the development of science and technology that
refers to the national standard of higher education.
(3) Further provisions on the curriculum
as referred to in paragraph (1) are governed with
The Rector Ordinance after receiving a Senate consideration
in accordance with the provisions of the perinvite regulations-
the invitation.
Section 12
(1) Assessment of activities and advancement of study results
Students are ongoing in
form of test, execution of duty, autentic assessment
which includes assessment of knowledge, skills
and attitude.
(2) The exam as referred to in paragraph (1) can
be done through the formative exam and final exam
completion of the study in the form of a comprehensive exam,
the final task test, the competency exam, the exam The thesis, the exam
thesis, and the dissertation exam.
(3) The execution of tasks as Referred to in paragraph (1)
is done through a structured and independent task that
is done individually and/or group.

(4) The assessment of the activities and progress of the learning results

e. E is equivalent to 0 (zero).

the progress of Student learning results as
referred to paragraph (1) to the paragraph (4) set
with the Rector Ordinance after receiving
Senate consideration.
Article 13
(1) Students are declared a pass on a window
education after taking the lecture
required and graduated examination in accordance with the provisions
in Section 12 of the paragraph (2).
(2) Further provisions regarding Student Graduation
as referred to in paragraph (1) are governed with
The Rector Ordinance after receiving the Senate consideration.
Article 14
(1) Students who have completed The entire process

Article 15

(2) UNIMED may receive a transfer student that

economic capability level.
(4) Foreign nationals can be a Student if

(5) UNIMED can accept Student-needs
specifically according to the means and infrastructure that
is available.
(6) Further provisions on Student acceptance
as referred to in paragraph (1) to the paragraph
(5) is set up with the Rector Ordinance after receiving
the Senate consideration in accordance with regulatory provisions
legislation.
Article 16
(1) The Indonesian language is used as an introductory language
in the holding of education in the environment
UNIMED.
(2) Foreign languages may be used as language
deliverable as far as necessary, whether in
hosting education and in
knowledge delivery and/or training
specific skills for more enhance the power
use and results for the learning process.

Second Section
Research
Article 17
(1) The research activities at UNIMED are activities
integrated to improve educational activities and
devotion to the community.
(2) UNIMED-held research activity
includes basic research, applied research,
innovation research and development research, as well as
other types of research.
(3) research activities as referred to paragraph (1)
done by Dosen and Student.
(4) Activities research as referred to in paragraph (1)
done in accordance with the rules and ethics of the scientist.
(5) The research activities as referred to in paragraph (1)
are directed to the main function of the research, i.e.
development science, and technology, as well as
improve the well-being of society and competuation
the nation.
(6) The results of the study may be intellectual property rights,
the publication of the results of the research, and utilization of the results
research.
(7) The results of the research that are HKI as
referred to the paragraph (6) is required to be protected in accordance with
the provisions of the laws.
(8) The results of mandatory research activities are disseminated with
methods disseminated, published, and/or
patented except for confidential research results,
intruting, and/or endangering interests

Engagement to the Community
Section 18
(1) UNIMED performs engagement activities to
the community in order to use,
assistance, development science and
technology, and other good practices.
(2) Engagement to the society as intended
in paragraph (1) is exercised by Dosen and/or
Students as well as may involve the Power
Education.
(3) The activities of service to the public are executed
to provide the constrition of development
region, innovation and technology, problem solutions
society, poverty alleviation, and
community empowerment.
(4) The results of engagement activities to the community must
be beneficial and disseminated to the community.
(5) More provisions regarding the hosting
engagement activities to communities are set with
The Rector Ordinance after it gets the Senate consideration.
Fourth Quarter
Academic Ethics and Ethics
Article 19
(1) Academic Ethics is a behavior guide that
adheres to the Academic Sivitas which is poured in
a code of conduct that applies to Academic Sivity.
(2) UNIMED in hosting the tridharma task
the college imposes the Dosen code of conduct, code
Student ethics, and the Education Code of Conduct.
(3) The Code of Conduct is referred to in paragraph (2)
is a guideline for attitude, behavior, and
Dosen's actions in carrying out tasks

with society in general.
(4) The Student Code of Conduct as referred to in paragraph

on the paragraph (2) is a guideline of attitude, behavior,
and deeds UNIMED employee in performing
his duties and the life of everyday life is good in the
campus environment and gauls with
society in general.
(6) Further provisions on the Code of Ethics and
Student code of conduct as referred to in paragraph
(3) and paragraph (4) are governed by The Rector Rule after

(7) Further provisions regarding the Power code

Fifth Section
Academic Freedom, Academic Mimbar Academic, and
Autonomous Region
Article 20
(1) UNIMED upheld the academic freedom,
freedom of academic mimbar, and scholarly autonomy.
(2) Academic freedom as referred to in paragraph
(1) is the freedom to maintain and
advance science and technology through
activities education, research, and devotion to
society of quality and responsively answer
as well as not in conflict with the rules of
the invitation.

(3) The freedom of the academic mimbar as intended
in paragraph (1) is part of the freedom
academic allowing each member of Sivitas
Academics to disseminate the results research and
deliver academic views through activities
lectures, lectures, seminars, symposia, discussions
panels, exams, and other scientific activities in accordance with
the science of scholarship.
(4) Autonomy of scholarship as referred to in paragraph (1)
is the independence and freedom of the Sivitas
Academics in finding, developing,

Article 21
(1) UNIMED gives the title, diploma, captions

to the Students who have been declared a pass.

The UNIMED organ consists of:

Paragraph 2
Senate
Article 29
(1) The Senate as referred to in Article 28 of the letter a
is an organ that exercises the function of designation
and consideration of the implementation of academic policy.
(2) In running the function as referred to
paragraph (1), the Senate has the task and authority as
following:
a. policy assignment, norma/ethics, and code of conduct
academic;
b. supervision of:
1. the application of academic norms/ethics and the code of conduct
Academic Sivity;
2. the application of the academic provisions;
3. the implementation of the school quality of education

Article 32

(1) Internal Supervising Unit as specified in

(1) UNIMED's wealth includes movable, non-moving objects, and intellectual property that belongs to
