BASIC PRINCIPLES AND THE SPA HEALTH SERVICE CONCEPT

A. BASIC PRINCIPLES OF SPA HEALTH SERVICE

The principle of health care SPA refers to a scientific tree or a Body of Knowledge of Traditional Indonesian Medicine. In the Health Service SPA, which is referred to as the basic concept of Indonesian traditional care system includes a cosmological, holistic and cultural approach (biopsikosociocultural).

The cosmological approach in Indonesia ' s Traditional Medicine System views the disease not only on what causes pain, but rather how and why people become sick. Cosmological approaches look healthy as a continuum of harmonious relationships between individuals and the environment.

A holistic approach views the disease caused by an imbalance between physical, emotional, spiritual, social and environmental. Thus the service that each individual requires is specific, leading to the cause of the disease and not only coping with symptoms. A holistic approach looking healthy is the balance between physical, emotional, spiritual, social and environmental.

The biological needs of each individual are closely related to the social and cultural state of the world. It has an effect on personality, value, trust, behavior, and the ability of the individual so that it will be acquired by intelligence in healthy living behavior. This approach is called a cultural approach (biopsikosociocultural).

For that, in order for individuals to achieve optimal healthy conditions, a comprehensive, whole, balanced, balanced service is required with regard to various aspects and uses various efforts and ways.

The way in the Service Health SPA is part of the Traditional Health Service, hence the science health SPA and Wellness SPA refers to the Indonesian Traditional Medicine Tree (Bagan 1).

CHAPTER II OF HYDRO THERAPY SERVICES

A. Foundation Theory

Hydro therapy is a therapy that uses water as a modality

therapy to help clients in nurturing and improving

of health. In practice SPA services use Hidro Therapy

combined with ingredients of natural ingredients (plants, minerals,

oil atsiri/essential oil, salt, milk, mud, stalks) as well as adjustments and

temperature settings, pressure, current, pH, and water content according to

therapeutic purposes for clients. On the principle of hydro therapy, given therapy

to the client utilizing the physical properties of water (water buoyancy/bouyancy), pressure

hydrostatic, and water viscosity properties), as well as hydrodynamic properties/water flow and

thermodynamic (hot and cold).

Water buoyancy/bouyancy will reduce the body ' s gravitational force in water,

so it will reduce the pressure on the joints that will reduce the flavor

pain and ease of movement at the time of lower physical exercise

water. Hydrostatic pressure on the treatment of hydrostatic therapy increases

blood flow to the heart, so special oversight is required in

clients with heart disease and blood vessels.

Viscosity/the water-flow is possible used to provide prisoners

at the client muscle strength exercise.

The hydrodynamic properties of water are a result of the movement of water waves both

linier and turbulence. The turbulence effect is a type of wave that

is most commonly used, one in whirlpool tub that can

be beneficial giving the body pressure that will help

smoothing the flow of blood and lymph. client.

The temperature of the water used can be warm or cold depending on the purpose

therapeutic delivery. The use of warm water will increase the blood flow

and provide a relaxation effect, while the use of cold water will

help ease the pain and reduce the inflammatory process.

B. The benefit of Hidro Therapy

In accordance with the utilization of the physical properties of water, hydrodynamic, and thermodynamic

it can be concluded that hydro therapy could provide a benefit

in the form:

1. Improving the immune system.

2. Increase the function of the persarafan system.

3. Launch a flow of blood and lymph.

www.peraturan.go.id

2014, No. 277 42

4. Fix the metabolism of cells.

5. Repairing the digestive system and the disposal of the garbage/poison.

(detoxifying effect).

6. Soften the muscle tension, overcoming stiff joints and pain.
