THE USE OF SHRIMP TRAWLERS
PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA,

c. that given the geographic state of such waters that have special properties and to be able to exploit the potential of the shrimp optimally, then it needs to be held special provisions and sets the shrimp trawl as a replacement for the trawl nets for the region Such waters;

DECIDED:
Establish: DECISIONS OF PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA ON THE USE OF SHRIMP TRAWLERS.
Section 1
By not reducing the terms of Presidential Decree No. 39 of 1980 and Presidential Instruction No. 11 of 1982, shrimp trawls can be used in the waters of the islands of Kei, Tanimbar, Aru, Irian Jaya, and the Arafura Sea with a coordinate boundary of 1300 B.T. to East, except in the coastal waters of each of those islands is bounded by a 10 (ten) metre isdrug line.
Section 2
The use of shrimp trawlers is given to fishing companies that have had the permission to catch shrimp especially in those waters.
Section 3
The number of fishing vessels given the use of shrimp trawlers is adjusted to support the potential of the local shrimp.
Section 4
The licensing of the use of shrimp trawls is given by the Minister of Agriculture.
Section 5
Fishing companies that obtained the use of the shrimp trawler are obliged to hand over the bycatch to the country's fishery companies to be utilized for the public interest.
Section 6
To improve the efficiency of the use of the shrimp trawler is carried out jointly research by the Board of Research and the application of Technology, the Marine Fisheries Research Hall and the Department of Agriculture General fisheries Directorate.
Section 7
In the waters outside the waterways as referred to in Article 1 of the Presidential Decree it fully applies the Decree of the Presidential Decree No. 39 of 1980 and the Instruction of Presidential Number 11 of 1982 and forbidden to use the shrimp trawl.
Section 8
Fishing companies that commit abuses to the provisions of the President ' s Decision are imposed revocation of permits.
Section 9
The Minister of Agriculture governs further implementation of this Presidential Decree.
Section 10
This president ' s decision applies at the set date.
