ENACTMENT UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION ON THE LAW OF THE SEA
(UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION ON MARINE LAW)
WITH THE GRACE OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD
PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA,
.,, weighed: a. that United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea) has been received both by the United Nations Conperence on the Third Sea Law in New York on April 30, 1982 and has been signed by the State of the Republic of Indonesia together a hundred and eighteen other signatories in Montego Bay, Jamaica on December 10, 1982;
., b. that United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea as referred to in the letter a above governing the rejim of the laws of the sea, including the rejim of the State laws of the Islands thoroughly and in one package;
., c. that the rejim of the State of the Islands law has the significance and role of establishing Indonesia as the State of the Islands in order to implement the Indonesian archipelago in accordance with the Consultative Assembly of the People's Consultative Assembly of Indonesia;
., d. that based on the above consideration it is necessary to authorize the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea by und-undra;
.,, Given: Section 5 of the paragraph (1), Section 11, and Section 20 of the paragraph (1) of the Basic Law of 1945;

.,, SET: LEGISLATION ON THE ATTESTATION OF UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION ON THE LAW OF THE SEA (United Nations CONVENTION ON THE LAW OF THE SEA).
Article 1
Validate
United Nations Convention the Law of the Sea (United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea), whose copy of the original text in English is attached to this Act.
Article 2
The Act goes into effect on the promulgated date.
