Back of the INDONESIAN PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NUMBER 126 in 2001 ABOUT the PRESIDENT of the REPUBLIC of INDONESIA ARCHIPELAGO DAY,.,, Considering: a. that Indonesia as the country's Archipelago which has the widest Sea Island, the largest, and the second longest Beach in the world, ought to be aware, be grateful, and maintained as well as possible by all the nation of Indonesia;
.,, b. that the determination of the Indonesia archipelago as a country that begins with the announcement "Djoeanda Declaration" on 13 December 1957 until the establishment of the Convention on the law of the Sea United Nations (UNCLOS) of 1982 that recognizes the principles of the State of the archipelago (archipelagic principles);
.,, c. that with respect to such matters are seen to need to set the date of 13 December as national day, as Today, by Presidential Decree;
.,, Considering: 1. Article 4 paragraph (1) of the Constitution of 1945;
., ,2. Act No. 6 of 1996 about Indonesia's waters (State Gazette Number 73 in 1996, additional State Gazette Number 3647);
., ,3. Convention on the law of the Sea United Nations (UNCLOS) 1982;
