Back of the INDONESIAN PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NUMBER 69 in 2001 of the NATIONAL COMMITTEE for the AGENDA of HABITAT II, the PRESIDENT of the REPUBLIC of INDONESIA, Considering: a. that the Agenda of Habitat II resulting in the Habitat II Conference in Istanbul Turkey in 1996 was the statement issued by the strategies and the Nations that are under the United Nations to carry out settlement for all fulfillment and development of sustainable settlements, particularly in countries that are developing;
.,, b. that Indonesia as a member of the Habitat II Agenda and participants are obliged to carry out the decisions of the Habitat II Agenda and report the results of its implementation in the form of Country Report Indonesia, which will be delivered in the meetings of the Special Session On the Habitat II Agenda Implementation in 2001 in New York;
.,, c. that meeting Special Session On the Habitat II Agenda Implementation will result in decisions that should be and/or being implemented as a commitment to follow-up the implementation of the Habitat II Agenda;
, d.., that the decisions of the meeting of the results of the Special Session On the Habitat II Agenda Implementation need to be promoted, monitored, and evaluated their implementation as well as the attempted Street settlement over issues that are found in its implementation for the period of time during 5 (five) years;

CHAPTER I GENERAL article 1 In this presidential decree is:.,, 1. The Agenda of Habitat II called Habitat II was the statement issued by and strategy from the Nations that are under the United Nations to carry out settlement for all fulfillment and development of sustainable settlements, particularly in the developing countries, and it was decided in the Habitat II Conference in Istanbul , Turkey in 1996.
., ,2. Country Report Indonesia Government's written report is arranged systematically with specific methods regarding the implementation of the Habitat II Agenda regarding the principal issues and things that are a priority in the implementation during the period of 5 (five) years, which will be delivered in the meetings of the Special Session On the Habitat II Agenda Implementation in 2001 in New York.
CHAPTER II ESTABLISHMENT and TASKS article 2, (1) formed the National Committee for Habitat II Agenda hereinafter in this Presidential Decision referred to by the National Committee for Habitat II.
.,, (2) Habitat II National Committee chaired by the Minister of Settlement and infrastructure Areas.
.,, (3) in carrying out its work, the National Committee for Habitat II is responsible to the President.
Article 3 National Habitat II Committees based in the capital of the Republic of Indonesia.

Article 4 National Committee for Habitat II officiated:.,, a. help drafting and preparation of the Country Report Indonesia with regard to the implementation of the Habitat II Agenda, which will be delivered at the Special meeting of the Government in a Session On the Habitat II Agenda Implementation in 2001 in New York;
.,, b. provide advice and considerations to the Government with regard to the implementation of the Habitat II Agenda and the meeting of the Special Session On the Habitat II Agenda Implementation;
., c., help the Government promote the results of the meeting of the Special Session On the Habitat II Agenda Implementation;
., d., carry out monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the results of the meeting of the Special Session On the Habitat II Agenda Implementation;
.,, e. convey problems occurring in the implementation of the outcome of the meeting of the Special Session On the Habitat II Agenda Implementation, to agencies or authorities to the settlement in accordance with the provisions of the applicable legislation.
Article 5 in the discharge of his duties, the National Committee for Habitat II may include and/or ask for suggestions and considerations from other related parties and/or experts from the Government and society.

CHAPTER III ORGANIZATION of the first part of membership article 6 National Habitat II Committees consist of: a. the Chair;

b. Vice Chairman;

c. the Secretary;

d. members.

Article 7 National Habitat II Committees Members include elements of Government and society.

Article 8 composition of the membership of the National Committee for Habitat II as referred to in article 6 is, as mentioned in the annex to the decision of the President.

The second part of article 9 the Secretariat to support the smooth execution of tasks, to the National Committee for Habitat II Secretariat who assist a functionally carried out by one of the work units of the Department of Settlements and infrastructure Areas.

Article 10 secretarial Personnel appointed and dismissed by the Chairman upon the proposal of the Secretary.

The third part of article 11 when the Working Group deemed necessary for smooth execution of daily tasks, the Chairman may establish working groups as needed.

CHAPTER IV TATA Tata article 12 EMPLOYMENT work of the National Committee of Habitat II is regulated further by the Chairman.

Chapter V Article 13 FINANCING all the financing necessary for the execution of the tasks of the National Committee for Habitat II and secretarial charged on the budget of the Department of Settlements and infrastructure Areas.

CHAPTER VI the TERMINATION of the EXISTENCE of the NATIONAL COMMITTEE for HABITAT II, clause 14 of the existence of the National Committee for Habitat II up to 2006.

Section 3.,, (1) with the end of National Habitat II Committees as stipulated in article 14, the Chairman of the accountability implementation report of the National Committee of Habitat II to the President.
.,, (2) the report of the accountability implementation referred to in subsection (1) is submitted in writing.
CHAPTER VII miscellaneous article 16.,, (1) in order to improve the ability to perform the task and the quality of the results of the execution of the task, the National Committee for Habitat II may participate actively in activities organized both inside and outside the territory of the Republic of Indonesia and/or cooperate with other relevant parties in the field of settlements.
.,, (2) implementation of the provisions referred to in subsection (1) is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the applicable legislation.
CHAPTER VIII COVER article 17 this presidential decree took effect on the date set.
