Back COUNTRY SHEET Republic of INDONESIA No. 149, 2012 (Additional explanation in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 5330) legislation of the REPUBLIC of INDONESIA number 10 in 2012 ABOUT the ENDORSEMENT of the OPTIONAL PROTOCOL TO THE CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD ON THE SALE OF CHILDREN, CHILD PROSTITUTION AND CHILD PORNOGRAPHY (OPTIONAL PROTOCOL to the CONVENTION of rights of the CHILD on the SALE of children, CHILD PROSTITUTION, and CHILD PORNOGRAPHY) and the GRACE of GOD ALMIGHTY the PRESIDENT of the REPUBLIC of INDONESIA , Considering: a. that the child has the right to be protected from economic exploitation and work in jobs that endanger or interfere with the child's education, health damaging physical, mental, spiritual, moral, and social development of the child;
b. that the sales activities of children, child prostitution, and child pornography is a crime against humanity which must be eradicated;
c. that Indonesia as a part of the international community must participate actively in order to prevent, eradicate and punish the offender, the criminal offence of sale of children, child prostitution, child pornography and the Optional Protocol to be embodied in the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the Sale of Children, Child Prostitution and Child Pornography (Optional Protocol Convention on the rights of the child on the sale of Children , Child prostitution, and child pornography);
d. that based on considerations as referred to in letter a, letter b, letter c and the need to ratify the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the Sale of Children, Child Prostitution and Child Pornography (Optional Protocol to the Convention of rights of the child on the sale of children, child prostitution, and child pornography) and law;
Remember: 1. Article 5 paragraph (1), article 11, article 20, and article 28B of the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia in 1945;
2. Law Number 24 year 2000 concerning international treaty (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia year 2000 Number 185, an additional Sheet of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4012);
Together with the approval of the HOUSE of REPRESENTATIVES of the REPUBLIC of INDONESIA and the PRESIDENT of the REPUBLIC of INDONESIA DECIDES: setting: the law on the RATIFICATION of THE OPTIONAL PROTOCOL TO the CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD ON THE SALE OF CHILDREN, CHILD PROSTITUTION AND CHILD PORNOGRAPHY (OPTIONAL PROTOCOL to the CONVENTION of rights of the CHILD on the SALE of children, CHILD PROSTITUTION, and CHILD PORNOGRAPHY).
Article 1 (1) ratified the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the Sale of Children, Child Prostitution and Child Pornography (Optional Protocol to the Convention of rights of the child on the sale of children, child prostitution, and child pornography).
(2) a copy of the original Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the Sale of Children, Child Prostitution and Child Pornography (Optional Protocol to the Convention of rights of the child on the sale of children, child prostitution, and child pornography) in the language of the translation is in English United Kingdom and Indonesia as attached is part of which is inseparable from the Act.
Article 2 this law comes into force on the date of promulgation.

In order to make everyone aware of it, ordered the enactment of this legislation with its placement in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia.
