ABOUT
HOSPITAL ACCREDITATION

WITH THE GRACE OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD

HEALTH MINISTER OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA,

Weighing in: that to carry out the provisions of Article 40 paragraph (4) of the Law No. 44 Year 2009 on the Hospital need to establish the Minister of Health ' s Regulation on Accreditation of the Hospital;

Remembering: 1. Law No. 36 Year 2009 on Health (State Sheet of Indonesia Year 2009 Number 144, Additional Gazette Republic of Indonesia Number 5063);
2. Law No. 44 Year 2009 concerning Hospital (Sheet State Republic Of Indonesia 2009 Number 153, Additional Gazette Republic of Indonesia Number 5072);
3. Health Minister Regulation Number 147 /Menkes/Per/I/2010 about Hospital Licensing;
4. Health Minister Regulation Number 340 /Menkes/Per/I/2010 about the Hospital Classification;
5. Health Minister Regulation Number 1144 /Menkes/Per/VIII/2010 on the Organization and the Working Tata Ministry of Health (State News of the Republic of Indonesia 2010 Number 585);

DECIDED:

Establish: the health minister ' s regulations on the accreditation of the hospital.

BAB I
UMUM PROVISIONS

Section 1
In Regulation of the Minister this is referred to:
1. Accreditation of the Hospital, subsequently called Accreditation, is a recognition of the Hospital granted by the independent agency the organizer of the Accreditation specified by the Minister, after it was assessed that the Hospital complied with the Standard Hospital services are in effect to improve the quality of the hospital service in a continuous way.
2. The Hospital Service Standards are all standard of service applicable in the Hospital among other standard operational procedures, medical care standards, and nursing standards.
3. The hospital is a health care institution that organizes a full individual health service that provides an outpatient, outpatient, and emergency services service.
4. The next Accreditation Instrument is called an instrument is a measuring device used by the independent agency the organizer of the Accreditation to assess the Hospital in meeting the Hospital Service Standards.
5. The Central Government, subsequently called the Government, is the President of the Republic of Indonesia which holds the power of government of the Republic of Indonesia as referred to in the Basic Law of the Republic of Indonesia in 1945.
6. The Regional Government is the Governor, Regent, Mayor, and regional device as an element of the organizing government of the region.
7. The Director General is the Director General in the Ministry of Health ' s environment responsible in the field of health efforts.

Section 2
Accreditation aims to:
a. improving the quality of the Hospital service;
B. improving the safety of the Hospital patients;
c. enhancing protection for patients, the public, human resources of the Hospital and Hospital as an institution; and
D. supporting Government programs in the health field.

BAB II
HOSTING ACCREDITATION

The Kesatu section
Common

Section 3
(1) In an effort to improve the quality of the Hospital service, it is accredited.
(2) The Accreditation as referred to in paragraph (1) consists of national Accreditation and international Accreditation.
(3) The hospital is mandatory following the national Accreditation.
(4) In an effort to improve saing power, the Hospital can follow international Accreditation as per capability.
(5) The hospital that will follow the international Accreditation as referred to in paragraph (4) must already obtain the status of national Accreditation.
(6) For the Hospital which has gained the status of national Accreditation and international Accreditation, it must already obtain a new Accreditation status before the term of the previous Accreditation status expires.
(7) Each new Hospital which has obtained an operational permit and operates at least 2 (two) years required to apply for Accreditation.

The Second Part
Hosting National Accreditation

Section 4
Hosting of the National Accreditation includes preparation of Accreditation, Accreditation guidance, execution of Accreditation and post-Accreditation activities.

Section 5
(1) The preparation of the Accreditation as referred to in Article 4 includes the standard fulfillment and self-assessment.
(2) The self-assessment (self assesment)as referred to in paragraph (1) is the process of assessment of the application of the Hospital Service Standards by using the Accreditation Instrument.
(3) The self-assessment (self assesment)as referred to in paragraph (2) aims to measure the readiness and the ability of the Hospital in order of the Accreditation survey.
(4) The self-assessment (self assesment)as referred to in verse (2) and verse (3) is performed by the Hospital which will undergo the Accreditation process.

Section 6
(1) Accreditation guidance as referred to in Section 4 is the Hospital coaching process in order to improve performance in preparing the Accreditation survey.
(2) Accreditation guidance as referred to in paragraph (1) is conducted by the Accreditation Guide of the independent acting Accreditation agency which will perform the Accreditation.
(3) Accreditation guidance as referred to in paragraph (2) is a health force that has the competence and authority in guiding the Hospital to prepare for Accreditation.

Section 7
The execution of Accreditation as referred to in Section 4 includes the Accreditation survey and the designation of Accreditation status.

Section 8
(1) The Accreditation Survey as referred to in Section 7 is an assessment to measure the achievement and manner of application of the Hospital Standards Standards.
(2) The survey as referred to in paragraph (1) is performed by the Accreditation surveior of the Accreditation Group.
(3) The Accreditation of Accreditation as referred to in a paragraph (2) is a health force that has the competence and authority in the field of Accreditation to carry out the Accreditation survey.
