ASSISTANCE IN CRIMINAL MATTERS)
WITH THE GRACE OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD
PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA,
Weigh: a. that in order to achieve the objectives of the Republic of Indonesia as set forth in the Opening of the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia in 1945, that is to protect the entire nation of Indonesia and all of Indonesia's blood, and to advancing public welfare, lecturing the lives of the nation, and participating in the exercise of world order based on independence, eternal peace and social justice, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia as part of the international community performing relations and international cooperation embodied in the agreement international;
B. that the development of science and technology, especially in the fields of transport, communication and information, in addition to having a positive impact has also had a negative impact, namely a criminal offence, which no longer recognizes the jurisdiction of the jurisdiction. country, so that its countermeasures and its coverage require effective interstate cooperation, both bilateral and multilateral;
c. that in order to improve cooperation in the legal field between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, on 3 April 2008 in Hong Kong has signed the Legal Aid Agreement Reciprocity in Criminal Issues;
D. that based on consideration as referred to in the letter a, the letter b, and the letter c, need to pass the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China on Legal Assistance Reciprocity in Criminal Issues (Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China concerning Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters) with undang-Undang;
Remembering: 1. Article 5 of the paragraph (1), Section 11, and Article 20 of the Basic Law of the Republic of Indonesia in 1945;

SET: LEGISLATION ON RATIFICATION OF CONSENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE HONG KONG SPECIAL ADMINISTRATIVE REGION OF THE REPUBLIC OF CHINA ON THE ASSISTANCE OF RECIPROCITY LAWS IN CRIMINAL MATTERS (AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE HONG KONG SPECIAL ADMINISTRATIVE REGION OF THE PEOPLE ’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA CONCERNING MUTUAL LEGAL ASSISTANCE IN CRIMINAL MATTERS).
Section 1
Ratify the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China on the Help of the Timbal Law Behind in Criminal Issues (
Agreement between the Government of the Republic of the Republic Indonesia and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China concerning Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters) signed on April 3, 2008 in Hong Kong, which copies of the manuscript originally in Indonesian, Chinese, and English as attached and is an inseparable part of this Act.
Section 2
This Act goes into effect on the promulgable date.
