No. 5397 GOVERNMENT OF THE AREA. Territory. Formation. Central Mamuju County. Province Of West Sulawesi. (explanation Of State Sheet 2013 Number 19)

EXPLANATION
Above
CONSTITUTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
No. 4 YEAR 2013
ABOUT
ESTABLISHMENT OF CENTRAL MAMUJU COUNTY
IN THE PROVINCE OF WEST SULAWESI

I. UMUM

The province of West Sulawesi, which has an area of ± 16,787.18 km2 with a population in 2011 amounted to ± 1,444,947 inhabitants of 5 (five) counties, needed to spur an increase in governance in order to solidiate the population. United States of the Republic of Indonesia.

Mamuju County, which has an area of ± 8.014.06 km2 with a population in 2012 totalling ± 468,783 inhabitants, consists of 16 (sixteen) districts and 154 (one hundred and fifty-four) villages. This county has the potential to be developed to support the increased governance of the government.

The restoration of regional autonomy must ensure the uniformity of the relationship between regions one with other regions, meaning it is able to establish interregional cooperation to improve mutual welfare and prevent interregional inequality. It does not lose the importance that regional autonomy must also be able to guarantee the relationship between regions and the government, which means it must be able to maintain and maintain the territorial integrity of the State and remain in the Republic of the Republic of Indonesia. in order to realize the purpose of the State.

Historically, the history of the creation of the Central Mamuju began in 1963 with the name of Bupas Regency (Budong-Budong Pasangkayu) which is a combination of the two regions of the Budong-Budong region and the timber-install region. However, on his way, the tide area was already self-regency in the North Mamuju County. Thus the desire to form the Budong-Budong region became its own district into a strong community aspiration of the local community.

The extent of Mamuju County has made the inter-region control range much longer. Therefore, the formation of the Central Mamuju Regency is expected to shorten the range of service control over the community. The candidate of the autonomous region of the Central Mamuju Regency will also link between North Mamuju County with Mamuju County which will then increase the mobility of the population, freight flows and services.

Central Mamuju Regency has potential for various types of agricultural commodities and plantations. Agricultural commodities that are seeded in addition to rice are orange, rambutant, durian, mango, and banana, while for plantations, the ungulan commodities are palm oil, cacao (chocolate) and hybrid coconut. Besides that there are types of mine materials such as copper, clay and iron sand.

With the area and large numbers of such residents above, the implementation of development and service to the public is not yet fully affordable. Such conditions need to be addressed by shortening the rule of government through the formation of new autonomous regions so that the public service can be improved to accelerate the establishment of public welfare.
