Chapter 1


Established Church, faith and confession of the


§ 1. The Evangelical Lutheran Church (Kalaallit Nunaanni Ilagiit) is Greenland's church.

§ 2. Kalaallit Nunaanni Ilagiit is part of the National Community church, subject to Greenland, and supported as such by this.


Chapter 2

Overall responsibility for the Church


§ 3. The Government has overall responsibility for the Church and may provide them after negotiations with the bishop.
Subsection. 2. The Government may, after consultation with the bishop appoint special expert committees as needed.

§ 4. The Government shall determine, after consultation with the bishop, provisions for services and religious ceremonies.
Subsection. 2. The Government shall provide the approval of liturgy, rituals, hymnals and hymnal supplement the recommendation of the bishop.

Chapter 3

Bishop and deans

Chapter 4

Priests and kateketerne

Chapter 5

Congregation Representations


§ 16. Ward Representation consists of the elected community representatives and its catechist or catechists and the person or officiating priests who occupy the place concerned.

§ 17. § 18. Minutes shall be kept of menighedsrepræsentationens meetings.

4) implementation of initiatives for the congregation as Bible lessons, children's and youth work, lectures, diakonia and similar activities.
Subsection. 2. The priest or catechist must have menighedspræsentationens consent to that
1) made collections at the regular church services and
2) at fixed places of worship or religious ceremonies used another authorized liturgy or other authorized rituals than those hitherto been used in the church.
Subsection. 3. priest or catechist must have menighedsrepræsentationens and Bishop's consent to that at the fixed places of worship or religious ceremonies to make minor changes in the liturgy and rites or used other hymnals and hymnal supplement than authorized.

Chapter 6

Education


§ 24. The bishop is responsible for training of priests, catechists and organists.
Subsection. 2. The Government may provide for training of priests, catechists and organists after negotiations with the bishop.

§ 25. Subsection. 2. The Government may provide organist training, including course selection, admission requirements, course content, scope and qualifications.


Chapter 7

Various provisions


§ 27. The Government shall provide for the granting of allowances, traveling and subsistence expenses as well as compensation for loss of earnings to members of the congregation representations.

§ 28. Ward Representations and priests' decisions can be appealed to the dean no later than four weeks after the decision is taken.
Subsection. 2 Dean The decisions can be appealed to the bishop at least 4 weeks after the decision is taken.
Subsection. 3. The bishop's decisions can be appealed to the Department of Culture, Education, Research and Church within 4 weeks after the decision is taken. Departmental decisions are final.


Chapter 8

Effective


§ 29. The Greenland Parliament Act shall enter into force on 1 August 2010.

Subsection. 2. At the same time county Regulation no. 15 of 28 October 1993 on the Church and the Home Rule Executive Order no. 30 of 27 June 1994 on elections to provstiudvalg etc.
Subsection. 3. Provisions contained in, or maintained in the first paragraph. 2, said county Regulation shall remain in force until replaced or repealed by regulations established under this or other inatsisartutlove.
