§ 1. Art School aims to promote the development of visual arts.

§ 2. Art School will create opportunity for people with artistic skills and interests to develop these systems and gain skills that improve their ability to create visual arts.

§ 3. Art School offers courses of varying duration to meet the provisions of §§ 1 and 2.
Subsection. 2. Art School may also offer courses of handicrafts embossed character.
Subsection. 3. To the extent compatible with other school activities, the school can also provide accommodation and other facilities for the independent working artists.

§ 4. Greenland Home Rule Government appoints a leader who has both the artistic as pedagogical and administrative responsibility for the school's management.

§ 5. The Minister of Culture and Education shall lay down rules on the school's inner board.

§ 6. Art school activities and curricula established by the Minister of Culture and Education, which also lays down specific provisions on the appointment and dismissal of the school's teachers and other staff.

§ 7. This Act shall enter into force on 1 January 1981.
