Art 3

(1) If the master of a ship under the Federal flag has reason to believe that a person he is carrying on board has committed one of the offences referred to in Article 3 of the Convention, and if he wishes to hand it over to that person, he shall: to inform the authorities of the receiving State, if practicable, if possible, before entry into the territorial sea of that State, of this intention and of the reasons. (1) This Act shall enter into force on the day following its announcement. (2) The date on which the Convention enters into force for the Federal Republic of Germany in accordance with its Article 18 and the Protocol in accordance with its Article 6 shall be published in the Federal Law Gazprom.
