Species 1

The following agreements signed by the Federal Republic of Germany on 21 July 1971 in Paris are approved:
1.
the Paris version of the Berne Convention of 9 September 1886 on the protection of works of literature and art (previous version: Articles 1 to 20 Bundesgesetzbl. 1965 II p. 1213; Articles 22 to 38 of the Federal Law Gazette 1970 II p. 293, 348);
2.
the revised World Economic Law Convention of 6 September 1952 (former version: Bundesgesetzbl. 1955 II p. 101) as well as its Additional Protocols 1 and 2.

Type 2

The Federal Government is authorized to make the declaration provided for in Article VI (1) (ii) of the Annex to the Paris version of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Works of Literature and Art. Unofficial table of contents

Species 4

For the purpose of calculating the duration of protection enjoyed by foreign nationals for their works in accordance with the revised World Law on Law on the Law of the World, the provisions of Article IV (4) to (6) of the revised law shall be revised. Species 5

This law shall also apply in the Land of Berlin, provided that the Land Berlin determines the application of this law. Unofficial table of contents

(1) This law shall enter into force on the day following its proclamation. (2) The day on which
1.
the Paris version of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Art Works in accordance with its Article 28 enters into force for the Federal Republic of Germany,
2.
enter into force in accordance with Article IX and Additional Protocols 1 and 2 to this Agreement, in accordance with paragraph 2 (b) of this Agreement, for the Federal Republic of Germany,
3.
the declaration provided for in Article VI (1) (ii) of the Annex to the Paris version of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Works of Literature and Art, pursuant to Article VI (2) of this Annex, becomes effective for the Federal Republic of Germany,
is to be published in the Federal Law Gazans.
