On the basis of section 3 (1) (1) to (4) of the law on units in the metrology system in the version of the notice of 22. February 1985 (BGBl. I p. 408) is arranged: Unofficial table of contents

§ 1 Legal units

(1) Legal units and unit signs according to § 2 No. 1 of the Unit and Time Law are
1.
the units listed in Appendix 1 columns 2 and 3 with special name,
2.
the units derived from the units according to point 1 with the number factor 1.
(2) The definitions apply to the units in Appendix 1. and relations referred to in Chapter I of the Annex to Directive 80 /181/EC of 20 June 1999. 1 December 1979 (OJ L 327, 40), as amended, are listed in their respective versions.(3) Presets and substitutes for the designation of decimal multiples and parts of units according to § 2 No. 2 of the Units and Time Act are the principles and propositions listed in columns 3 and 4 of Appendix 2. The attachments and attachment characters are not applicable to the units full angle, degree, second (angle), minute (time and angle), hour, day, kilogram, degree Celsius, and millimeter-mercury column.(4) For the description of a decimal multiples or part of a unit of Appendix 1, no more than one attachment or one of the attachment characters may be used. § 2 Device names in data processing systems

In data processing systems with limited character supply, the Device names and attachments according to DIN 66 030, May 2002 edition. Non-official table of contents

§ 3 Additional use of non-statutory units

As far as the units and time laws are in accordance with § § 1 and 2 of the Units and Time Act in statutory units, the additional use of other than the statutory units is permitted only if the claim is highlighted in the legal unit. Non-official table of contents

§ 5 Penal Money Provisions
