§ 1 Establishment and tasks of the Advisory Board

(1) The Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection) establishes a Scientific Advisory Board for Fertilizing Questions (Advisory Board). (2) The Advisory Board advises the Federal Ministry on fertilisation issues by means of an expert report. Opinions and is independent in its activities. Unofficial table of contents

§ 2 Membership

(1) The Advisory Board consists of ten scientists and scientists working in the following fields:
1.
three members in the field of plant nutrition, of which one belongs to the Julius Kühn Institute, Federal Research Institute for Cultural Plants,
2.
Two members in the field of plant construction or soil science,
3.
a member of the field of organic farming,
4.
a member of the Department of Fertilizer Analysis,
5.
a member of the Department of Toxicology, which is a member of the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment,
6.
a member in the field of ecotoxicology,
7.
a member of the Department of Environmental and Animal Hygiene.
(2) The members of the Advisory Board shall be appointed by the Federal Ministry for a period of five years. (3) Membership in the Advisory Board shall expire prematurely if:
1.
is a member of a university lecturer,
2.
an official or employment relationship of a Member ceding to be appointed to the Advisory Committee,
3.
a member of an existing official or employee relationship shall be entrusted with tasks which were not relevant to the appointment.
The members can declare their withdrawal from the advisory board to the Federal Ministry at any time in writing. (4) If a member is prematurely a member, the Federal Ministry shall convene a substitute member for the remaining period of appeal. (5) The Members perform their duties on a voluntary basis. The necessary travel expenses are to be made on request in accordance with the guidelines of the Federal Ministry of Finance on the severance of the members of advisory boards, committees, commissions and similar bodies in the federal government of 9 November 1981 (GMBl. 515), as amended in each case. § 3 Presidency, Management, Rules of Procedure

(1) In a secret ballot, the Advisory Board shall elect a member to the chairmanship and vice-chairmanship of each of the votes. (2) The Management Board of the Advisory Board shall be responsible for the task of the Federal Ministry for which the third party is responsible for this task. (3) The meeting dates of the Advisory Board shall be fixed in agreement with the Federal Ministry. (4) The Advisory Council shall adopt its rules of procedure. § 4 Entry into force, external force

This Regulation shall enter into force on the day following the date of delivery.
