This legal regulation is a training order within the meaning of § 25 of the Craft Code. The training regulations and the coordinated framework curriculum for the vocational school, agreed by the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany, will soon be published as a supplement to the Federal Gazette.

§ 1 Scope

This Regulation applies to vocational training in the training occupation of Drechsler (Ivory Schnitzer) /Drechslerin (Ivory Schnitzer) in accordance with the Rules of Crafts and Crafts. Unofficial table of contents

§ 2 Training period, subject areas

The training lasts 3 years. After the third half-year of training, the duration of one year may be between the fields of speciation

§ 3 Training profession

(1) The subject of vocational training shall be at least the following skills and knowledge:
1.
Vocational training,
2.
Establishment and organisation of training activities,
3.
Labour and collective bargaining, occupational health and safety,
4.
Occupational safety, environmental protection and rational use of energy,
5.
Make and read sketches and drawings, basics of design,
6.
Maintenance of craft witnesses,
7.
Waiting for lathes,
8.
Set up, serve and maintain machines and devices,
9.
the nature and properties of wood and wood-based materials,
10.
Working and processing of wood and wood-based materials,
11.
Turn and Drechseln,
12.
Characteristics and properties of precious materials,
13.
Working and processing of plastics,
14.
Working and processing of metals,
15.
Review and packaging of products.
(2) The subject of vocational training in the subject areas shall be at least the following skills and knowledge:
1.
in the field of Drechseln:
a)
Design and develop products,
b)
Manufacture of parts and products,
c)
Manufacture and treat surfaces;
2.
in the field of ivory carving:
a)
Design and develop products made of precious materials,
b)
Manufacture of products made of precious materials,
c)
Manufacture of surfaces.

§ 4 Training framework plan

The skills and knowledge according to § 3 are to be taught according to the guidance on the factual and chronological structure of the vocational training (training framework plan) contained in the annex. A material and time breakdown of the training content, which differs from the training framework plan, is permitted in particular, insofar as special operational features require the deviation. § 5 Training plan

§ 6 Report Bulletin

§ 7 Interim examination

(1) An intermediate examination shall be carried out in order to determine the level of training. It shall take place before the end of the second year of training. (2) The intermediate examination shall cover the skills and knowledge referred to in the Annex in Section I for the first two years of training, as well as the skills and knowledge listed in the Annex to this Annex. Vocational education and training in accordance with the framework curricula, insofar as it is essential for vocational training. (3) In order to demonstrate the skills, the test subject shall be 1 or 2 work samples in a total of six hours. . In particular, the following shall be considered:
1.
Turning into long wood and cross-wood,

Turning of small finished parts into long wood and cross-wood.
(4) In order to demonstrate the knowledge, the test item shall solve tasks in the following areas in writing in a maximum of 180 minutes:
1.
employment protection and occupational safety,
2.
materials,
3.
Measurement tools, tools,
4.
production techniques,
5.
Length, area and body computations,
6.
Reading of drawings, ready-to-work sketches.
The written tasks shall also take into account case-related cases. (5) The duration of the examination referred to in paragraph 4 may in particular be undershot to the extent that the written examination is carried out in a programmed form. Unofficial table of contents

§ 8 Gesellenprüfung

(1) The journeyman's examination shall cover the skills and knowledge listed in the Annex, as well as the teaching material taught in the course of vocational education, to the extent that it is essential for vocational training. (2) To demonstrate the skills the test piece is a test piece for a maximum of 40 hours and in most of a total of 7 hours in the field of Drechseln 2, in the field of ivory carving 3 work samples shall be carried out, of which at least one shall be referred to in point 2 (a). In particular, the following shall be considered:
1.
as an examination piece:
a)
In the field of Drechseln: Manufacture of a workpiece or of a model that can consist of several parts; in this case, skills in long and cross-wood turning, in the production of a fit and in the production of a work drawing shall be demonstrated;
b)
in the field of ivory carving: manufacture of a carved piece by model or drawing;
2.
as work samples:
a)
Manufacture of a pattern according to the drawing, in which the turning of long and transverse wood must be taken into account;
b)
in the field of Drechseln: manufacture of a pattern or a working model with a hollow shape;
c)
in the field of ivory carving:
aa)
Create a piece according to model or drawing,
bb)
Prepare a model sketch based on the model.
(3) In order to prove the knowledge, the test subject shall be examined in writing in the examination subjects Technology, Technical Mathematics, Technical Draw, as well as Economic and Social Studies. Questions and tasks may be considered in particular from the following areas:
1.
In the examination subject Technology:
a)
employment protection and occupational safety,
b)
Set work flows,
c)
environmental protection and rational use of energy,
d)
Wood drying and storage,
e)
materials,
f)
surface treatment,
g)
Operation, operation and maintenance of machinery;
2.
in the examination subject Technical Mathematics:
a)
Surface, body and mass calculations,
b)
material and cost calculations;
3.
in the examination subject Technical drawing:
a)
Reading sketches and drawings,
b)
Prepare draft sketches,
c)
Production of drawings;
4.
in the examination subject Economic and social studies: general economic and social relationships of the working and working world.
The questions and tasks should also take into account case-related cases. (4) For the written knowledge examination, the following time limits are to be assumed:
1. in the Technology Examination 120 minutes,
2. in the examination subject Technical Mathematics 90 minutes,
3. In the Examination subject Technical drawing 90 minutes,
4. in the examination subject Economic and social studies 60 minutes.
(5) The duration of the examination referred to in paragraph 4 may, in particular, be undershot to the extent that the written examination is carried out in a programmed form. Section 9 Repeal of provisions

The occupational profiles established up to now, the vocational training plans and examination requirements for the professions, the professions of learning and the comparability of regulated occupations covered by this Regulation, in particular for the training occupation of Drechsler (Ivory Schnitzer) /Drechslerin (Ivory Schnitzer), shall no longer apply subject to § 10. § 10 Transitional Regulation

In the case of vocational training conditions existing at the date of entry into force of this Regulation, the provisions to date shall continue to apply, unless the Contracting Parties agree to the application of the provisions of this Regulation. Unofficial table of contents

§ 11 Berlin-clause

This Regulation shall apply in accordance with Section 14 of the Third Transfer Act in conjunction with Section 128 of the Craft Code also in the Land of Berlin. Unofficial table of contents

§ 12 Entry into force

-measures in respect of the territory which has been acceded (Art. 3 Unification)-

Section III
Federal law shall enter into force in the territory referred to in Article 3 of the Treaty, with the following measures:
1.
Craft order in the version of the notice of 28 December 1965 (BGBl. 1), as last amended by Article 43 of the Law of 28 June 1990 (BGBl I). 1221), as well as the legal regulations enacted pursuant to Section 7 (2), § 25, 27a (1), § 40 and § 46 (3) sentence 3 of the Craft Code, with the following measures:
a)
An entitlement existing on the date of entry into the territory of the territory referred to in Article 3 of the Treaty,
aa)
to independently operate a craft as a standing business,
bb)
for the setting up or training of apprentices in craft trades or
cc)
for the guided tour of the championship title
remains in place.
b)
Purchasing and supply cooperatives and working groups of the production cooperatives of the craft industry remain a member of the Chamber of Craft, as far as they are a member of the Chamber of Craft.
c)
Traders who, on the date of entry into the territory of the territory referred to in Article 3 of the Treaty, are entitled to operate a craft as an established industry on their own, shall, on request or on their own, be subject to the craft of the Appendix A of the craft order is registered in the craft of crafts, which can be assigned to the previous craft. If such traders legitimately hold the title of master of the craft, they are entitled to lead the master's title of the craft of Appendix A of the Craft Regulations.
d)
Traders who, on the date of their entry into the territory of the territory referred to in Article 3 of the Treaty, independently operate a trade which is not classified there as a craft, but which in Annex A to the Craft Code shall be considered as a craft , shall be entered in the craft sector on request or on its own account by means of this craft.
e)
Point (c), first sentence, shall apply to tradesmen engaged in a craft-like trade.
f)
Whereas, by 31 December 1991, the craft organizations of the craft referred to in Article 3 of the Treaty shall, on the date of the date of entry into force of accession in the territory referred to in Article 3 of the Treaty, be adapted in accordance with the provisions of the Craft Regulations; Organizations in the sense of the craft order. The same shall apply to the existing specialist and master examination commissions; until 31 December 1991 they shall be considered as examination committees in the sense of the craft order. The Chambers of Crafts shall, without delay and no later than 31 December 1991, create the conditions for the participation of the Gesellen in accordance with the provisions of the Craft Rules.
g)
On the date of the date of accession, existing teaching conditions shall be completed in accordance with the provisions of the previous rules, unless the parties to the teaching contract agree to continue vocational training in a craft of Annex A to the Craft order.
h)
Apprentices who undergo their vocational training according to the previous law will be examined in accordance with the previous legislation, unless the Federal Minister of Economic Affairs, in agreement with the Federal Minister for Education and Science, by Legal regulation, which does not require the consent of the Bundesrat, allows for transitional provisions for procedures and jurisdiction.
i)
The examination procedures which take place on the date of the date of entry into force of the accession will be completed in accordance with the provisions of the previous rules.
k)
Until 1 December 1995, the Chambers of Crafts may grant derogations from the legal regulations issued in accordance with Section 25 of the Craft Regulations, if the requirements set out are not yet to be fulfilled. The exceptions are temporary. The Federal Minister of Economics may, in agreement with the Federal Minister of Education and Science, restrict or revoke the power of sentence 1 by means of a decree law which does not require the consent of the Bundesrat.
l)
The legal regulations pursuant to § 27a (1) and § 40 of the Craft Code require the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, in agreement with the Federal Minister for Education and Science, to enact the separate entry into force by means of a decree law which does not requires the approval of the Bundesrat.

The Federal Minister for Economic Affairs is determined by the legal regulation in accordance with Section 46 (3) of the Craft Code,
