§ 1 Outline and content of the Master Examination

The master test in the Drechsler-(ivory carver-) and the wooden toy-maker-craft comprises the following independent test parts:
1.
the examination of the masterly direction of the usual works (Part I),
2.
the examination of the necessary theoretical knowledge (Part II),
3.
the examination of the necessary business, commercial and legal knowledge (Part III) and
4.
the examination of the necessary vocational and occupational pedagogical knowledge (Part IV).

§ 2 Master examination profession

(1) The master test in the Drechsler-(ivory carver-) and the wooden toy-maker-craft states that the test specimen is capable of carrying out a manual operation independently, conducting tasks in the fields of technology, Business administration, personnel management and development, to carry out the training and to implement its professional competence independently and to adapt it to new needs in these areas. (2) The Drechsler-(Ivory Schnitzer-) and wooden toy makers-craft are going to be used for the purposes of the master test The following activities, knowledge and skills are attributed as integral qualifications:
1.
Identify customer requests, advise customers, conduct contract negotiations, and set order targets,
2.
Calculate prices according to the operating cost structure, draw up cost estimates and create offers,
3.
Carry out tasks of technical and commercial management, company organisation, personnel planning and personnel deployment, in particular taking into account operational training and further training, quality management, and work and environmental protection; use information systems,
4.
Develop products and carry out orders taking into account manufacturing techniques as well as personnel requirements and training; organise and monitor order processing and order processing as well as plan cooperation with other companies and perform,
5.
Create design and work drawings, working sketches, construction documents as well as models and tears, taking into account material-specific and design aspects,
6.
The types and characteristics of the materials used in the Drechsler (ivory carvers) and wooden toy making craft in the procurement, storage, processing and assembly of materials,
7.
Processing and processing techniques, in particular surface treatment and surface protection, in the design, construction and production of products,
8.
Collect billing data, create invoice and justify, post-calculation,
9.
carry out the search for errors and malfunctions as well as measures to eliminate them, evaluate and document results,
10.
to develop and manufacture products made of drechelable materials on a rotationally symmetrical and rotationally symmetrical structure, taking into account creative design aspects,
11.
Design and manufacture products of concealed design in the wood tyre, taking into account creative design aspects, as well as giving the tool cutting edge the required shape,
12.
Develop and manufacture jewellery, figurative and decorative objects, in particular from ivory, mammoth or leg, and taking creative design aspects into account,
13.
comply with professional regulations, in particular species protection provisions,
14.
Develop and manufacture jewellery, representational objects and decorative objects from amber or with amber linings or incrustations, taking into account creative design aspects,
15.
select and buy materials, taking into account the origin and the quality of the processing,
16.
develop and manufacture wooden toys as well as decorative figurines made of wood and supplementary materials, taking into account creative design aspects,
17.
Design the surfaces of wood products with special consideration of the ornamental and figurative colour design as well as the typeface painting,
18.
Repair and restore the products of the Drechsler (ivory carving) and wooden toy-maker's craft.

§ 3 Outline, duration and existence of Part I

(1) Part I of the Master's examination comprises the following examination areas:
1.
a master inspection project and a technical discussion related to it,
2.
a situation task.
(2) The preparation of the Master Test Project shall not last longer than 15 working days and the expert discussion shall not last longer than 30 minutes. The execution of the situation task shall not exceed six hours. (3) Master examination project, expert discussion and situation task shall be assessed separately. The examination achievements in the Master Examination Project and in the expert discussion are weighted in the ratio 3: 1. This will form an overall evaluation. This overall assessment is weighted to the test result of the situation task in the ratio 2:1. (4) Minimum requirement for the existence of Part I of the Master examination is a sufficient overall examination performance, the examination neither in the case of the examination or the examination. § 4 Master examination project

(1) The test specimen shall carry out a master inspection project which corresponds to a customer order. The examinee shall select a task in accordance with paragraph 2 and shall draw up a proposal for the master inspection project. Prior to carrying out the Master's examination project, the examinee shall submit the draft, the drawing or the model, as well as a preliminary calculation including a scheduling, to the Examination Committee for approval. (2) As Master Audit Project shall be one of the following tasks:
1.
Make a product from the area of the Drechslerei. In so doing, the devices used shall be documented;
2.
manufacture a group of tyre manufacturing products, each in all stages of manufacture;
3.
produce a product from the field of ivory carving and a model in a material given by the Master Examination Committee;
4.
Make a product or group of products from the Bernsteindrechslerei;
5.
A product from the field of wood toy making, including colour and decorative painting.
(3) The master inspection project referred to in paragraph 2 shall also include a design, a drawing or a model, related planning, calculation and offer documents, and documentation with a separate proof of external performance. (4) The The design, the drawing or the model and the accompanying planning, calculation and quotation documents are weighted together with 40 of the hundred, the manufactured product with 50 of the hundred and the documentation with 10 of the hundred. § 5 Technical Discussion

On the basis of the examination achievements in the Master Examination project, a specialist discussion will be conducted. § 6 Situation Task

(1) The situation task completes the qualification certificate for the master test in the Drechsler-(ivory carver-) and wooden toy-maker craft. (2) As a situation task no more than two of the following works are . The proposals of the test item shall be taken into account in the selection of the work, in so far as this is in accordance with the requirements of paragraph 1. The specific task is to be carried out by the Master Examination Committee:
1.
Produce a twisted product with unleaded partial areas and a fit,
2.
Design and manufacture of wood tire products,
3.
a flower motif, an animal motif or a piece of jewelry,
4.
Edit a gemstone or produce a product made of amber,
5.
make a product with a connection by turning it lengthwise to the fibre, by cutting or chipting,
6.
Repair or restore a product of the Drechsler (ivory carver-) and wooden toy maker's craft
7.
Create or edit a wooden toy or a decoration figure made of wood or parts thereof, including coloured version or decoration.
(3) The overall assessment of the situation shall be calculated from the arithmetic average of the individual evaluations of the work referred to in paragraph 2. Unofficial table of contents

Section 7 Outline, duration and existence of Part II

(1) The examination in Part II is intended to demonstrate to the examinee, by linking design, technological, flow and process engineering, material technical and mathematical knowledge, that he will analyse and assess problems, and to identify and document suitable solutions. (2) Examination subjects are:
1.
design and technical engineering,
2.
order processing,
3.
Management and operational organisation.
(3) At least one case-oriented task shall be processed in each of the examination subjects.
1.
Design and technical engineering The examinee is to prove that he is able to perform design and production tasks and problems while considering economic, technical and organisational aspects in a Drechsler. (ivory carving-) and wooden toy maker operation. It is intended to assess and describe technical issues. Several of the following qualifications are to be associated with the task:
a)
Develop, assess and correct solutions for tasks in the area of the Drechsler-(ivory carvers-) and the wooden toy-maker's craft, taking into account design principles and material specifications,
b)
Implement form and colour theory in terms of design,
c)
Develop, evaluate and correct solutions for the implementation of restoration and repair work,
d)
explain and justify the use of plant and auxiliary materials in the event of different problems,
e)
Create design documents, parts lists and parts drawing,
f)
Describe problems of material handling and processing, develop, evaluate and correct solutions,
g)
evaluate the use of machines and tools in a way that is suitable for the production of materials,
h)
planning devices for manufacturing with special consideration for occupational safety and health,
i)
methods of surface finishing and surface protection, and assess and evaluate;
2.
Order processing The examinee is to prove that he is able to carry out the execution-related measures in order processing, which are for the technical and economic success in a Drechsler (ivory carver-) and Wood toy maker-operation is necessary to initiate and complete customer-oriented. Several of the following qualifications are to be associated with the task:
a)
Plan order fulfillment processes
b)
Evaluate the methods and procedures of the planning and organisation of work, taking into account the production technology and the use of materials, equipment and personnel, thereby presenting aspects of quality management,
c)
Develop, evaluate and correct technical work plans, including the use of electronic data processing systems, evaluate workplace design,
d)
Carry out pre-and post-calculation;
3.
Company management and company organisation The test facility is to demonstrate that it is able to carry out the tasks of management and organization of operations in a Drechsler (ivory carver) and wooden toy maker operation. Several of the following qualifications are to be associated with the task:
a)
to identify operational costs, taking into account business-related costs,
b)
plan and present operational quality management,
c)
Evaluate the production time recording and create time calculation,
d)
apply professional laws, standards, rules and regulations, in particular environmental and species protection regulations,
e)
Plan and present the procurement, storage and selection of materials,
f)
assess liability in respect of manufacture, maintenance and services;
g)
Assess information and communication systems in relation to their operational uses,
h)
the requirements of occupational safety, health and environmental protection; assess hazards and define security measures;
i)
Describe marketing measures for customer care and the acquisition of new customers.
(4) The examination in Part II shall be carried out in writing. It should not last longer than six hours. (5) If at most two of the examination subjects referred to in paragraph 2 have been reached at least 30 and fewer than 50 points, one of these subjects may be subject to an oral supplementary examination (6) A minimum requirement for the existence of Part II of the Master Examination is a sufficient overall examination performance. The examination of Part II has not been passed if:
1.
an examination subject has been evaluated with less than 30 points, or
2.
after the additional examination has been carried out, two examination subjects have each been evaluated with fewer than 50 points.

§ 8 General examination and procedural regulations, further regulations for the Master Examination

(1) The provisions of the Master Examination Procedure Ordinance of 17 December 2001 (BGBl. 2) The examination in parts III and IV of the Master Examination is determined by the General Master Examination Regulation of 26 October 2009. § 9 Transitional provision

The provisions of § 7 (5) and (6) shall not apply to the examination procedures that have been initiated until 31 December 2011. These will be brought to an end in accordance with the previous regulations. Unofficial table of contents

Section 10 Entry into force, expiry of the external force

This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 2002. At the same time, the decree of the Reichs-and Prussian Minister of Economic Affairs No. V 2801/37 of 18 March 1937 and the decree on the professional picture for the Drechsler-(Ivory-schnitzer-) Handwerk of 23 March 1957 (decree BMWi-II B 1-1003/57) no longer applied.
