§ 1 Name and seat

The foundation is named "Stiftung Democrat Jugend". It is an independent foundation under public law and has its headquarters in Berlin. Unofficial table of contents

§ 2 Purpose of the Foundation

(1) The purpose of the foundation is to promote youth work in the GDR, or in the countries forming part of the territory. (2) In particular,

political education and political co-responsibility,

the economic initiative of young people and their participation in trade unions and professional organisations,

the representation of interests during training,

commitment to the protection of the environment, health, peace, human rights and other non-profit-making objectives,

the cultural offspring and the offer of non-commercial cultural events,

§ 3 Municipal usefulness

§ 4 Foundation assets

(1) The Foundation shall be endowed with 20 million DM at the time of its establishment. Additional voluntary contributions by the founder, the nature and amount of which the founder decides on the basis of his/her discretion, are grown. (2) The ongoing work of the Foundation shall be made up of proceeds and interest from this property as well as from donations and donations. other benefits. § 5 Benefits

(1) Benefits may be granted for one-off or recurrent measures or permanent establishments which serve the purpose of youth work. § 6 Executive Board

(1) The institution of the Foundation shall be the Management Board. It consists of a chairman of the board, a deputy of the chairman and two other members. (2) The Minister of Youth and Sport convenes the first board of directors. The Board of Management shall appoint persons who have already earned the foundation for the purpose of the Foundation's purpose. If a member of the Management Board fails or does not take up his duties, the Board of Management has to appoint a successor unanimously within four weeks. (3) The Management Board shall administer the Foundation in accordance with the Foundation's purpose and its Articles of Association. This includes, in particular, the decision-making on the award and withdrawal of funds, the management of the Foundation's assets, the preparation of the economic plan and the preparation of the annual financial statements. § 7 Kuratorium

The Board of Trustees advises the Board of Management and monitors compliance with the Foundation's purpose. It consists of ten representatives of various social groups that operate youth work. The members of the board of trustees are appointed by the board of directors for three years.
The Board of Trustees elects a spokesperson with a two-thirds majority. This may require the Board of Executive Directors to inspect all documents of the Foundation.
The Board of Trustees meets at least once a year. Extraordinary meetings can be decided by the board of trustees with a two-thirds majority or convened by the board of directors.
The Board of Trustees may make recommendations to the Executive Board by a simple majority.

§ 8 Management

§ 9 Subject and legal supervision

§ 10 amendment of the statutes, dissolution

Amendments to the statutes may be decided by the Management Board only unanimously for the purpose of the Foundation's purpose and require the approval of the Foundation's Supervisory Authority.
Amendments to the statutes, which become necessary on the basis of future foundation law, shall be inserted by the Management Board in accordance with the statutes, while maintaining the will of the benefactor.
Upon dissolution of the Foundation, the assets shall be equal to the countries in which the Foundation operates in accordance with § 2. It shall be used by the supreme youth authorities of those countries within the meaning of the purpose limitation referred to in § 2.
