In accordance with Article 1 (4) of Annex I to the Treaty establishing a monetary, economic and economic Social Union of 18 May 1990, the circulation coins of the former GDR, which are still valid in the accession area, shall be denominated in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20 and 50 pfennigs with effect from 1. It was set aside in July 1991. The coins thus lose their validity. However, they will still be up to 30.
