(1) Dem in Strasbourg am 4. The Strasbourg Convention on the Restriction of Liability in Inland Waterways (CLNI) was signed in November 1988 by the Federal Republic of Germany. The Convention shall be published below.(2) The consent shall be subject to the proviso that the provisions contained in the Convention shall not be directly applicable within the national framework. The Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection is authorized to do so by means of a decree-law, which shall be subject to conditions changes in the maximum amounts of liability and of the unit of account adopted in accordance with Article 20 of the Convention. (1) This law enters into force on the day after it is announced.(2) The date on which the Convention enters into force for the Federal Republic of Germany in accordance with its Article 17 shall be published in the Federal Law Gazans (Bundesgesetzblatt).
