I.

According to § 1 para. 3 of the Law on the Establishment of the Federal Administrative Office of 28 December 1959 (BGBl. I p. 829), the Federal Administrative Office is responsible for handling the following administrative tasks as the Federal Foreign Office:
Receipt and processing of claims by German citizens and persons held in Germany for compensation for damage suffered as a result of the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait from 2 August 1990 to 2 March 1991, on the basis of the Forwarding to the compensation fund established by United Nations Security Council Resolution 687. The processing shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant directives adopted by the competent bodies of the United Nations. It shall be used for mediation between applicants and the UN compensation fund responsible for the decision in the context of the exercise of diplomatic protection. Unofficial table of contents

In accordance with Section 8 of the Act on the Establishment of the Federal Administrative Office, the Federal Administrative Office is subject to the technical instructions of the Federal Foreign Office in this delegated matter. Unofficial table of contents

III.

This arrangement shall be issued in agreement with the Federal Minister of the Interior and shall enter into force on the date of signature. Unofficial table of contents
