(1) (2) The Federal Insurance Office also has the other duties and powers which the former Reich Insurance Office or its President had in accordance with the legal or other provisions in the administrative field, as far as it is concerned. federal social security institutions and not the federal government or the federal minister of labour under this law. (1) (2) The supreme administrative authorities of the Länder responsible for social security or the other authorities designated under national law shall also have the other tasks and powers conferred on the former Reich Insurance Office or its President according to the legal or other regulations in the field of administration, insofar as they are national direct social insurance institutions and not according to this law the Federal Government, the Federal Minister for Labour or the Federal Insurance Office is responsible. To the extent that the former Reich Insurance Office was authorized to issue general administrative provisions, these appropriations shall be exercised by the Federal Government with the consent of the Federal Council. The administrative tasks and powers granted by 31 December 1953 to the upper insurance offices or their chairpersons shall be based on the authorities designated under national law or, in so far as such a provision is missing, on those authorities responsible for the Social insurance competent supreme administrative authorities of the countries. Insofar as publications are provided in official publication pages of the Reich in social insurance legislation, the corresponding official publication sheets of the Federal Government or the Länder shall be replaced by the corresponding official publication sheets. § 11

The Federal Insurance Office also has the following guidelines in accordance with the guidelines for the granting of federal aid for the compensation of hardship in the context of occupational retirement provision of 17.
