§ 1 Institution, competence

(1) In order to carry out the duties of a family insurance fund within the meaning of § 72 (1) sentence 2 of the Income Tax Act, the Federal Administrative Office shall set up the Federal Family Fund at the Federal Administrative Office. (2) The Federal Family Fund The Federal Administrative Office is responsible for the setting and payment of child benefit to the members of the Federal Ministry of the Interior and its business unit, referred to in the first sentence of section 72 (1) (1) (1) to (3) of the Income Tax Act. The Bundesfamilienkasse (Bundesfamilienkasse) at the Federal Administrative Office (Bundesverwaltungsamt) can be entrusted with further tasks relating to the setting, payment and recovery of child benefit. § 2 Task transfer

(1) The Bundesfamilienkasse (Bundesfamilienkasse) at the Federal Administrative Office (Bundesverwaltungsamt) can perform the tasks of a family fund according to § 1 for:
1.
federal bodies, institutions and foundations of public law, as well as
2.
other federal authorities,
(2) The tasks referred to in paragraph 1 shall be transferred by written agreement between the Federal Administrative Office and the administrative institution of the transferring family fund. In the administrative arrangement, the costs are to be regulated. (3) With the transfer, the Bundesfamilienkasse (Bundesfamilienkasse) enters into the legal status of the respective family fund at the Federal Administrative Office. The responsibilities for performance periods prior to 1996 remain unaffected by a transfer. (4) Agreements for the transfer of tasks pursuant to § 1, which have already been concluded with the Federal Administrative Office prior to the entry into force of this Regulation, will be taken On 3 June 2010, the Bundesfamilienkasse (Bundesfamilienkasse) at the Federal Administrative Office. § 3 Entry into force

This Regulation shall enter into force on the day following the date of delivery.
