§ 1 Established, jurisdiction

(1) The Federal Office for Central Services and Open Property Issues set up a federal family fund for the performance of the tasks of a family fund within the meaning of Section 72 (1) sentence 2 of the Income Tax Act.(2) The Bundesfamilienkasse (Bundesfamilienkasse) is responsible for the determination and payment of child benefit to the members of the Federal Finance Administration, who are referred to in § 72 (1) (1) (1) to (3) of the Income Tax Act. § 2 Task Transfer

(1) For

Federal corporate bodies, institutions and foundations under public law have to carry out the tasks of a family insurance fund in accordance with § 1,

more federal authorities can carry out the tasks of a family insurance fund according to § 1,
to the extent that it is responsible for the tasks of the administrative institution of the family insurance fund shall be transferred.(2) The tasks referred to in paragraph 1 shall be transferred by written agreement between the Federal Office for Central Services and Open Property Issues and the administrative institution of the transferring family fund. The administrative arrangement shall be subject to cost-bearing arrangements.(3) With the transfer, the Bundesfamilienkasse enters into the legal status of the respective family insurance fund. The responsibilities for performance periods before 1996 shall remain unaffected by a transfer.(4) With the Federal Office of Finance already before the 31. December 2005, closed agreements for the transfer of tasks go to 1 December 2005. January 2006 on the Bundesfamilienkasse (Bundesfamilienkasse) at the Federal Office for Central Services and Open Property Issues. Non-official table of contents
