The training regulations and the framework curriculum for vocational schools agreed by the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany will shortly be published as a supplement to the Federal Gazette.

§ 1 State recognition of the vocational training profession

The training occupation of the bookbinder and the bookbinderin is recognized by the state in accordance with § 25 of the Craft Code for the Training for Business Number 39 of Appendix B 1 of the Craft Regulations.

§ 2 Duration of vocational training

§ 3 Structure of vocational training

Vocational training is divided into
1.
Compulsory qualifications in accordance with Article 4 (2) (A) and (C) and
2.
Two optional qualifications to be defined in the training contract in accordance with Article 4 (2) (B) (1) and
3.
an optional qualification to be defined in the training contract in accordance with Section 4 (2) (B) (2).

§ 4 Training framework plan, vocational training programme

(1) The subject-matter of vocational training shall be at least the skills, knowledge and skills listed in the training framework plan (Appendix) (professional capacity for action). An organization of the training, which deviates from the training framework plan, is particularly permissible insofar as the particularities of the company's practical experience require the deviation. (2) Vocational training as a bookbinder and bookbinding is broken down as follows: (Training professional image):

§ 5 Implementation of vocational training

(1) The skills, knowledge and skills referred to in this Regulation shall be taught in such a way as to enable trainees to carry out a qualified professional activity within the meaning of Article 1 (3) of the Vocational Training Act. , which includes, in particular, independent planning, implementation and control. The qualifications described in the first sentence are to be proved in the exams according to § § 6 and 7. (2) The trainees have to draw up a training plan on the basis of the training framework plan for the trainees. (3) The trainees have to provide written evidence of formal qualifications. They should be given the opportunity to carry out the written evidence of formal qualifications during the training period. § 6 Interim examination

(1) An intermediate examination shall be carried out in order to determine the level of training. It is to take place before the end of the second year of training. (2) The intermediate examination shall cover the skills, knowledge and skills listed in the Annex for the first three years of training, as well as the skills listed in the Annex. The intermediate examination takes place in the examination areas. (3) The intermediate examination is to be found in the examination areas.

(4) For the examination area work planning, the following guidelines exist:
1.
The test specimen shall demonstrate that it is capable of:
a)
to plan work steps, to define work equipment, to select materials, to take into account requirements of work, health and environmental protection, as well as cost-effectiveness,
b)
Take over and verify order data, implement product data as well as manual and machine manufacturing techniques in the planning process,
c)
Planning for manual and machine manufacturing, taking into account the interactions of pre-products, materials and machines in the processing process,
d)
carrying out processing-specific calculations;

the examinee is to process practical tasks in writing;
3.
the exam time is 120 minutes.
(5) The following guidelines exist for the examination area Bookbinderische Fertigtechniques:
1.
The purpose of the testing procedure is to demonstrate that it is able to plan and produce bookbinding products and to document the manufacturing process with practical documents;
2.
the test piece is to produce a test piece and document his work with practical documents;
3.
the examination time is five hours.

§ 7 Gesellenprüfung

(1) The journeyman's examination shall determine whether the examinee has acquired the professional capacity to act. a)
to plan work flows,
b)
to adjust devices and machines with regard to their basic settings and to take into account machine-related relationships in function tests,
c)
to obtain the specifications and materials required for the work order to set up machinery and equipment,
d)
to set up the workplace and machinery and equipment,
e)
to manufacture products in accordance with the specified quality on time, economically and in accordance with the requirements of occupational health and environmental protection,
f)
Review, assess and optimize manufacturing results,
g)
To communicate production data and document it with practical documents;
2.
the examination area shall be based on the following activities:
a)
in the individual and special production qualification, a product shall be designed, manufactured or repaired, taking into account one of the optional qualifications specified in the training contract in accordance with Article 4 (2) (B) (1), or
b)
In the Electoral Qualification of Machine Manufacturing, three different machines are to be set and a production pattern is to be produced, with one of the optional qualifications specified in the training contract in accordance with Article 4 (2) (B) (1). be considered;
3.
the examinee is to carry out a work assignment as well as a situational expert discussion and document his work with practical documents;
4.
the examination time is seven hours, within this time the situational dialogue should last for a maximum of ten minutes.
(5) The following guidelines exist for the examination area for order planning and communication:
1.
The test specimen shall demonstrate that it is capable of:
a)
Planning, implementing and documenting work processes in accordance with economic, technical and organizational requirements in a customer-oriented way,
b)
to plan work steps, including information on upstream and downstream areas,
c)
to evaluate, communicate and document order data,
d)
properties of precursors and materials, as well as their interactions with each other and with the machinery and equipment used,
e)
carry out planning-relevant calculations;
2.
the examinee is to process practical tasks in writing;
3.
the exam time is 120 minutes.
(6) The following guidelines exist for the examination area manufacturing techniques and book-binding design:
1.
The test specimen shall demonstrate that it is capable of:
a)
to distinguish design possibilities with regard to their fields of application and to assign main product groups,
b)
to assess and present production conditions in terms of design, materials and manufacturing techniques, including the operating conditions,
c)
to apply quality assurance measures for the optimization of production,
d)
to perform production-related calculations;
2.
the examinee is to process practical tasks in writing;
3.
the exam time is 120 minutes.
(7) The following guidelines exist for the examination area of economic and social studies:
1.
The purpose of the test is to demonstrate that it is capable of presenting and assessing the general economic and social context of the working and working world;
2.
the examinee is to process practical tasks in writing;
3.
the exam time is 60 minutes.

§ 8 Rules on weightings and regulations

(1) The individual examination areas shall be weighted as follows:

1. Examination Area Bookbinderische Manufacturing 50 percent,

2. Examination area Order planning and communication 20 percent,

3. Examination area Manufacturing techniques and book-binderous design 20 percent,

4. Examination area Economic and social studies 10 percent.
(2) The journeyman's examination has been passed if the services
1.
in the overall result, at least "sufficient",
2.
in the examination area "Buchbinderische fabrication" with at least "sufficient",
3.
in at least two further examination areas with at least "sufficient" and
4.
in no examination area with "insufficient"
(3) At the request of the examinee, the examination is in one of the areas of examination "Order planning and communication" or "Manufacturing techniques and book-binderness" or "Economic and/or economic and social design" evaluated as "sufficiently" as "sufficient". Social studies " should be supplemented by an oral examination of about 15 minutes if this can be the case for the passing of the examination. In determining the result for this examination area, the previous result and the result of the oral supplementary examination in the ratio of 2: 1 are to be weighted. Unofficial table of contents

§ 9 Existing Vocational Training Conditions

Vocational training conditions which exist at the date of entry into force of this Regulation may, if no intermediate examination has yet been filed and the Contracting Parties agree to do so, by taking into account the period of training completed so far, according to the the provisions of this Regulation shall be continued. Section 10 Entry into force, expiry of the external force

This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 August 2011. At the same time, the regulation on vocational training to the bookbinder/bookbinder of 8 December 1995 (BGBl. 1610), as defined by Article 1 of the Regulation of 11 July 2001 (BGBl).
