On 1 July 1999, the German Bundestag, pursuant to Article 2 (2) of the Law on the Implementation of the Decision of the German Bundestag of 20 June 1991 on the completion of the unity of Germany (Berlin/Bonn Law) (BGBl. 918), as last amended by Article 1 of the Regulation of 21 September 1997 (BGBl I). 2390, 2756) states that the necessary conditions for the working capacity of the German Bundestag in Berlin, place of the republic, were established with effect from 1 September 1999.
