In the following I make known the organisation of the Federal Chancellor of 17 December 1997, which enters into force with effect from the same day: Unofficial table of contents

I.

The Federal Ministry of Postal and Telecommunications will be dissolved with the expiry of the 31 December 1997. Unofficial table of contents

II.

With effect from 1 January 1998, the following shall enter into force:

1.

The Federal Ministry of Finance is transferred from the division of the Federal Ministry of Post and Telecommunications:

-

responsibility for the Bundesanstalt für Post und Telekommunikation Deutsche Bundespost (Bundesanstalt für Post und Telekommunikation Deutsche Bundespost), the Museumsstiftung Post und Telekommunikation, and the accident insurance company Post and Telekom,

-

the responsibility for civil servants and staff representation for the civil servants of the joint stock companies Deutsche Telekom AG, Deutsche Post AG and Deutsche Postbank AG,

-

the power to issue postage stamps.

The officials assigned to Bundesdruckerei GmbH through service injunction contracts are transferred to the division of the Federal Ministry of Finance.

2.

The Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology will transfer all other responsibilities from the division of the Federal Ministry of Post and Telecommunications.
