I.

A Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety is set up.

II.

The Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety will be transferred:

1.

from the division of the Federal Minister of the Interior the responsibilities for

a)

environmental protection,

b)

Safety of nuclear installations, radiation protection,

2.

from the division of the Federal Minister of Food, Agriculture and Forestry, responsibility for the environment, nature conservation,

3.

out of the division of the Federal Minister for Youth, Family and Health the responsibilities for health concerns of environmental protection, radiation hygiene, residues of harmful substances in food, chemicals.

III.

The Federal Ministry of Youth, Family and Health is being converted to the Federal Ministry for Youth, Family, Women and Health. It receives the leadership of women's issues, including legislative competence. In a first step, the responsibility for women and work is transferred to the Federal Minister for Youth, Family, Women and Health from the division of the Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs.
