§ 1 Scope

These rules lay down minimum requirements Navigation radar systems in the Rhine navigation system, as well as the conditions under which compliance with the minimum requirements is examined. § 5 Request for a type check

1.
The application for the type testing of a radar system must be submitted to a competent inspection authority of a Rhine State or of Belgium.
2.
The application shall be accompanied by the following documents submit:

two detailed technical descriptions,
b)

two detailed operating instructions,
d)

§ 6 Type-approval

§ 1 Objective of these regulations

These regulations aim to ensure that navigation radar and turn-indicator systems for optimal technical conditions in the interests of safety and lightness of inland waterway transport and ergonomic points of view, followed by a functional test. § 2 Admission of the devices

§ 4 Requirements for the On-board power supply

§ 5 Installation of the radars

1.
Radar antenna should be installed as close as possible over the central longitudinal axis of the ship.
