Zone 3 waterways

Chapter 1
Special Terms for Vehicles on Zone 3 waterways

§ 1.01 General

On waterways of Zone 3, excluding the Rhine, Anhange II or Annex XII is to be applied with the measures resulting from the following provisions. Non-official table of contents

§ 1.02 Anchor equipment

For anchors, two-thirds of the total weight calculated in accordance with Section 10.01 of Annex II is sufficient. unofficial table of contents

§ 1.03 speed

1.
Vehicles and federations must reach a speed against water of at least 10 km/h. This does not apply to drawers if they drive alone.
2.
In the case of reverse travel, a speed against water of at least 5 km/h must be reached.

§ 1.04 Free View

By way of derogation from Annex XII, Article 4, Section 7.02 No. 2, the view shadow may be before the bow of the empty ship with half of the stocks and without ballast for the rowing crosser 250 m.

Individual rescuing agents listed in Annex II, Section 15.09 No. 4 can be replaced by collective rescuers in accordance with Article 4, Section 15.09, No. 5 of Annex XII. unofficial table of contents

§ 3.01 general

On waterways in zone 4, Appendix II or annex XII is to be applied with the measures resulting from the following regulations. unofficial table of contents

§ 3.02 safety distance

The safety distance for doors and other openings as the hatches of the cargo spaces can,
a)
to the extent that they can be completed spray water and weatherproof, to 0.15 m,
b)
as far as they cannot be completed spray water and weatherproof, it will be reduced to 0.20 m.

§ 3.03 freeboard

The freeboard must be at least 0.00 m, provided the safety distance according to § 3.02 is observed. Non-official table of contents

Passenger ships do not have to use a second passenger ship on the waterways of Zone 4 independent drive system.

Chapter 5
Transition and Special Provisions

§ 5.01 Transitional provisions for vehicles that are already in operation, and validity of the previous Vehicle safety certificates

1.
The following provisions shall apply to vehicles for which: a certificate of driving licence with facilities similar to that of this Annex for the first time before the 30.
2.

The vehicles must be shown to have been issued on the day of issue of their travel certificate or other Traffic authorisation to comply with the technical requirements of the Inland Waterway Investigation Order.
3.
The travel certificates issued before the 30. They shall remain valid until the expiry date of December 2008. Annex II, Section 2.09, point 2 remains unaffected.

§ 5.02 Deviations for vehicles already in operation

1.
Without prejudice to § § 5.03 and 5.04, vehicles that do not fully comply with the requirements of this Annex shall be adapted to the provisions which have entered into force after the first issue of their certificate of driving licence or of the other type of marketing authorisation, in accordance with the transitional provisions set out in the table below

The rule does not apply to Vehicles which are already in operation unless the parts concerned are replaced or converted, d. (c) The provision shall apply only to new buildings and to replacement or conversion of the parts or areas concerned. If existing parts are replaced by replacement parts with the same technique and type of power, this does not mean a replacement "E" within the meaning of these transitional provisions.

"Granting or renewing the travel certificate":

The requirement must be given during the grant or the next renewal of the validity period of the travel certificate, which will be valid on the 30. It will be completed by the end of December 2008. Ends the period of validity of the travel certificate between the 30. December 2008 and one day before 30. This provision shall only apply from the date of 30 December 2009. December 2009 mandatory.

§ 5.03 Other deviations

If the application of the The Commission of Inquiry may, on the basis of recommendations made by the Committee, permit derogations from the provisions of the transitional provisions to be practically difficult to implement or to create unacceptably high costs. These deviations shall be entered in the travel certificate. Non-official table of contents

§ 5.04 Transitional provision for vehicles referred to in Annex II, Chapters 15, 17 and 21, and to Annex XII, Article 5,

For a vehicle referred to in Annex II, Chapters 15, 17, and 21, or in Annex XII, Article 5, the Certificate of travel certificate issued after an examination in accordance with Section 2.09 (1), (3) and (4) of Annex II, which shall be issued after the expiry of the valid travel certificate, but no later than 30 years. In order to determine whether the vehicle complies with the technical requirements set out in Annex IV.

If the vehicle is complying with the requirements of Chapter 1 to 4 and if the Commission of Inquiry is of the opinion that these inadequacies do not present a manifest danger, the vehicle may continue its operation until such time as the components or areas which have been identified as inadequate of the vehicle; thereafter, these components or areas shall comply with the requirements of this annex. The deficiencies noted are to be noted in the travel certificate.

There is a manifest danger, in particular, if there are regulations in respect of the strength of the construction, the driving or manoeuvring properties or particular features of the vehicle in this Annex. Permissible deviations shall not be recorded as inadequacies, which constitute a manifest danger. No manifest danger shall be deemed to exist if the vehicle is in accordance with the provisions of the inland waterway search order in the version of 30. December 2008.
4.
The replacement of existing components by identical parts or parts of equivalent technology and design while routinely performed Repair and maintenance work shall not be deemed to be a substitute within the meaning of point 2.
