The Bundestag, with the approval of the Federal Council, has decided the following law: Non-Official Table of Contents

Art 1

(1) Dem in Geneva am 14. The Convention of 15 November 1966, signed by the Federal Republic of Germany in 1966. February 1966 on the calibration of inland waterway vessels is agreed. The Convention shall be published below.(2) The Convention does not apply to inland lakes which do not have a navigable connection with other waterways in accordance with point 1 of the Protocol on the signing of the Convention. Art 2

(1) The Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development is authorized to make changes to the installation of the Article 17 of the Convention, which provides for the establishment of new technical knowledge relating to the calibration of inland waterway vessels within the meaning of the Convention, or which relate to technical or administrative procedures, by: Legal regulation, with the consent of the Federal Council, to be put into effect.(2) The Federal Ministry for Transport, Building and Urban Development is authorized to approve the general administrative provisions necessary for the implementation of the Convention, including its annex in its respective version, with the consent of the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development Federal Council to adopt.(3) The State Governments are authorized to use the provisions of Article 2 (3) and Article 8 of the Convention for the calibration of ships (ship surveying) in waters other than federal waterways by means of a regulation of the law of the Member States. . Art 3

This law is also applicable in the Land of Berlin, provided that the Land Berlin determines the application of this law. Legal orders issued pursuant to this Act shall apply in the Land of Berlin in accordance with Section 14 of the Third Transfer Act of 4. January 1952 (Bundesgesetzbl. I p. 1). Art 4

(1) This law enters into force on the day after it is announced.(2) The date on which the Convention enters into force for the Federal Republic of Germany in accordance with its Article 11 shall be published in the Federal Law Gazans (Bundesgesetzblatt).(3) (4)
