§ 1 Establishment

In the division of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, a "Bundesamt für kerntechnische dispose" (Federal Office for Nuclear Disposal) is established as an independent federal authority. The Federal Office for Nuclear Disposal is headed by a President or a President. § 2 tasks

(1) The Federal Office for Nuclear Disposal performs administrative tasks in the federal government in the field of Approval of federal plants for the freezing and disposal of radioactive waste, which are assigned to it by the Atomic Energy Act, the Site Selection Act, or other federal laws or by reason of these laws.(2) The Federal Office for Nuclear Disposal supports the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety in a technical and scientific way on the areas referred to in paragraph 1.(3) The Federal Office for Nuclear Disposal shall, in so far as no other jurisdiction is established by law, carry out tasks of the Federal Government in the areas referred to in paragraph 1, with the implementation of which it shall be carried out by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Reactor safety or with the consent of the competent supreme federal authority. § 3 Supervision

The Federal Office for Nuclear Disposal is subject to the supervision of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature conservation and reactor safety. Non-official table of contents

§ 4 Transitional rules

(1) After the establishment of the Federal Office, elections will be held within six months. Staff representation instead. The tasks of the Staff Committee of the Federal Office of the Federal Office of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety are perceived as transitional staff by the Federal Office of Human Resources until the constitution of the Staff Council.(2) The transitional staff council shall immediately appoint the Executive Board for the implementation of the Human Resources Council elections in the Federal Office.(3) Paragraphs 1 and 2 shall apply mutatily to the representation of young people and trainees and to the representation of severely disabled persons.(4) After the establishment of the Federal Office, the election of the Equal Opportunities Officer and her deputy will take place within six months. Until the appointment of the Equal Opportunities Officer and her deputy, the tasks are carried out by the Equal Opportunities Officer and her deputy at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety.
