Pursuant to Section 133 (2), first sentence, of the Commercial Code, as amended by the Notice of 1 January 1978 (BGBl. 97) in conjunction with Article 129 (1) of the Basic Law, the Federal Government, with the consent of the Federal Council, prescries:

The professional title "Baumeister" and professional titles which contain the word "master builder" and refer to an activity in the construction sector (building or civil engineering) may continue to lead only to those who, on 31 December 1980, are responsible for the designation of this name , or who has passed the Baumeister examination after that date (Article 5 (2)).

The regulations on the management of official and professional designations remain unaffected by the officials and employees of the federal government, the Länder and other public bodies. The rules on the management of the designation "government master builder" remain unaffected.

This Regulation shall apply in accordance with Section 14 of the Third Transfer Act in conjunction with Section 156 of the Commercial Code also in the Land of Berlin.

(2) Master tests shall continue to be carried out in accordance with the provisions currently in force, if the approval for the examination is to be carried out before the 1.
