Species 1

The Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons signed by the Federal Republic of Germany in London, Moscow and Washington on 10 April 1972, and the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development of Toxin Weapons Destruction of such weapons is agreed. Type 2

(1) It is prohibited to:
1.
microbiological or other biological agents or-irrespective of their origin and method of production-toxins of species and in quantities not justified by prevention, protection or other peaceful purposes, and
2.
Weapons, equipment or means of use intended for the use of such agents or toxins for hostile purposes or in an armed conflict,
, to develop, manufacture, store or otherwise acquire or retain. (2) Insofar as other legislation also prohibits this and threatens it with a penalty or a fine, or makes it conditional on a permit, they shall remain unaffected. Unofficial table of contents

Art 3

(1) This Act shall enter into force on the day following its announcement. (2) The date on which the Convention enters into force for the Federal Republic of Germany in accordance with its Article XIV shall be published in the Federal Law Gazproc.
