On the basis of Section 6 (1) No. 3 of the Road Traffic Act, in the revised version published in the Federal Law Gazette, Part III, No. 9231-1, the latest by the Law of 3 August 1978 (BGBl. I p. 1177) has been amended with the consent of the Federal Council: Unofficial table of contents

§ 1

Drivers of passenger cars and of other motor vehicles with a permissible gross vehicle weight of up to 3.5 tons are recommended, even in favourable road, traffic, visibility and weather conditions.

on motorways (sign 330.1),
2.
outside closed areas on other roads with lanes for a direction separated by midstripes or other construction facilities, and
3.
outside closed localities on roads which have at least two lanes marked by lane limitation (symbol 295) or by guidelines (sign 340) for each direction,
not faster than 130 km/h (highway direction speed). This shall not apply to the maximum speeds (sign 274) according to the StVO or to the characters of the StVO. Unofficial table of contents

§ 2

Moreover, the provisions of the road traffic order remain unaffected and shall apply in accordance with the provisions of this Regulation. The signs referred to in § 1 are those of the road traffic order. Unofficial table of contents

§ 3

This Regulation shall apply in accordance with Section 14 of the Third Law of the Reimbursement Act in conjunction with Article 33 (2) of the Kostenergesetz Amending Act of 23 June 1970 (BGBl. 805), also in the Land of Berlin. Unofficial table of contents

§ 4
