On the basis of § 1 para. 2 of the International Law on Maintenance of Maintenance of 19 December 1986 (BGBl. 2563), it is stated that reciprocity within the meaning of this Act is now also in relation to the State of the State of the United States of America.

the reciprocity is no longer limited to child support (BGBl. 1989 I p. 372), but now also exists for the maintenance of a spouse.
