On the basis of § 1 para. 2 of the International Law on Maintenance of Maintenance of 19 December 1986 (BGBl. 2563), it is stated that reciprocity within the meaning of this Act is now also in relation to the State of the State of the United States of America.

is vouchable. In addition, it shall be made known that, in relation to the State of the United States,

the reciprocity is no longer limited to child support (BGBl. 1989 I p. 372), but now also exists for the maintenance of a spouse.
As a result, reciprocity in the sense of the German Foreign Maintenance Act as a whole is guaranteed in relation to the following states:

in the United States of America in relation to

Connecticut,	North Carolina,
Delaware,	North Dakota,
Florida,	Ohio,
Georgia,	Oklahoma,
Hawaii,	Oregon,

Kentucky,	Tennessee,
Louisiana,	Texas,
Maryland,	Vermont,
Massachusetts,	Washington,
Michigan,	West Virginia,
Minnesota,	Wisconsin and to
Montana,	Wyoming;
Nevada,

in Canada in relation to

British Columbia, Manitoba, Neubraunschweig, Newfoundland including Labrador,

Ontario, the Prince Eduard Island, Saskatchewan and the Yukon Territory;

in relation to South Africa.

This notice shall be issued following the notice of 7. October 1991 (BGBl. I p. 2000).
